Hostels in Theth

I cannot recommend this hostel enough! Just book it, you won’t regret it. The owner is a very experienced mountaineer and gave all of us a briefing on the hike to Theth that we would be doing the next morning. He also brought us to a restaurant in his pick up truck and all the guests got to have dinner together which was great to make friends. There is a fire at night and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great and for $5 you can pack food for your lunch as well. Most importantly, the hostel can provide transportation to the start of the trail to Theth if you want ($30 all the way or $15 to the gravel river bed) that you can split with everyone else (it’s a bus so we split between 10 people in late September).

This family run hostel in Valbona, is one of the best stays I have been to. The hostel is on a farm, also where the family lives and the village is so beautiful. Surrounded by mountains, farms and Greenery and a lot of nature. The owners were so kind, sweet and very helpful. The food was home cooked and so amazing. The owners went far and beyond for the comfort and convenience of the guests. The farm also has fruit trees which you could pluck yourselves and eat. I would highly recommend the hostel especially to everyone and also to people wanting to do the Valbona pass hike, because the owners also arrange the bus pickup to the trailhead. Overall an excellent experience.
