IsraelSuper cozy place, both the private room and dorms (tried both). In a quiet alley in the old town, serves good and fairly priced food and most of all very accommodating owners - helping and giving advice and also really nice to just talk with them. Would always book here when I’m in Shangri La.

We could learn more about the town of Shangrila and its authentic culture through the eyes of the owner who was genuine and helpful in every step of our journey. The hostel offers a restaurant service and the food tasted absolutely amazing, you must try it. The hostel also has daily or regular trips so it was just a matter of signing up the day before (do your homework first). It’s good for foreigners . It's an old Tibetan house with a nice courtyard and a balcony on the first floor. They serve excellent food all day. Try the Tibetan porridge or the yak meat burger.
