The Tibet Guest house is run by a lovely family and I had an excellent stay. My room was great with a lovely balcony overlooking the gorge. The views are stunning. The son really helped me with all my hiking needs and I hiked the lower gorge right down by the river and the next day the upper gorge. I was taken to the start of both hikes. The food at the guest house was lovely and I ate there for 2 days. They are so friendly and welcoming it was a joy to be there. I also did all my washing. Everything was perfect for me and they arranged for my onward travel to Shangri La.

This was one of the most comfortable and cozy guest houses I have ever stayed in! Rose and Azon are incredibly kind, friendly, helpful people and they really understand the needs of foreign guests, especially westerners. Comfortable beds, non-smoking, western food (if desired), etc. They made everything so easy for me including helping me arrange a covid test in town which was above and beyond. And Rose's English is amazing so no communication barriers. I extended my stay a few days because the place was so wonderful. Location was perfect too. Highly recommended!

Lovely place which is well decorated and situated in a convenient area in the old town. We were greeted by a mother and daughter and their car and dog, they were so friendly and made us feel very welcome ☺️

I also really appreciated the electric blanket. In the reception area, one can sit comfortably and meet other travellers. The location is absolutely amazing, right in the old city center. They picked us up for free from the High Speed Rail station. Gave us a lot of travel information that made our stay in Shangri La an enjoyable one. Room was cosy and very clean. Heater and electric blanket in the room were enough to keep us warm in the cold winter. Located inside the Duzekong ancient town, food is easily available just outside the guesthouse. Highly recommended!!

They made our stay homely and we felt very welcomed. We were given tea or hot chocolate in the colder evening and they served us fruit in the afternoon. Our room was clean, the bed sheets warm for the cold nights and the common area lovely decorated. Since the hostel is situated within the old town, the location couldn't have been better. Although we had our own bikes, the free bicycle rental is an excellent addition and they're in good quality. Also the hostel cat is adorable and loving!
