I already anticipated that HK would be a bit more expensive than going to Thailand, Vietnam, etc., so finding accommodation like this near the train station, surrounded by a lot of stores, and with the bus stop just right at the corner was a pretty good deal already. I particularly liked how accommodating and responsive the owner was. We communicated via WhatsApp, and since she spoke fluent English, there was no issue when I checked in. It's a self-check-in hostel with straightforward instructions for you. The bed was hard, which I found therapeutic for my tired body as I carried that huge backpack from the airport to the hostel. ACs were working well. You can hang your damp clothes on their little terrace. I did that for my wet blanket right after I took a shower. The neighbourhood wakes up pretty early since they are running their shops. It might be noisy for the others, but I found it homey. Thank you, Waveflo! <3
