I had an amazing experience. The place is brand new, clean, and equipped with all the facilities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, from a well-equipped kitchen to cozy common areas perfect for relaxing or meeting other travelers. What truly made my stay unforgettable was the owner and the staff. They were incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful with everything, whether it was giving local tips, arranging activities, or just sharing a friendly conversation. La Smala has a fantastic kasbah-sea view with the ancient canons facing the Atlantic ocean. The sunset is simply breathtaking and you can enjoy it at the roof terrace. The staff (With special mention of Guka) was exceptionally helpful and even arranged my quad bike experience along the beach and also my transport back to marrakesh. Breakfast was very well made and I enjoyed part of it. I will highly recommend travellers this Hostel when in Essaouira. The location is close to many of the best restaurants in the medina and only 5 mins to the Kasbah and the long stretch of beach.

This is a wonderful hostel and hotel located very close to the center of town and the beach. The staff especially Ahmed, Elias and Abdul were so friendly and welcoming. They invited me to a feast one night and we played music and games in the family room by the fireplace. The bedroom was very quiet, the pool was clean, the breakfast was delicious. I didn't order dinner but it looked amazing. The common areas and room and bathroom were cleaned and stocked regularly. Ahmed provided me a towel for free when I asked and organized a taxi for me to Ghazoua when I was departing that arrived on time. And of course the price is so cheap! I will return one day.
