Great place, great cats. I felt like there were not many girls in the place so I always had the bathroom to myself. Breakfast was alright. The tequila tour booked through them was really good. It's very safe, you get keys and water

I had a great time at Hostal Hidalgo! I stayed there for 5 nights total with my girlfriend. One night in a dorm room, and four nights in the private suite. The dorm room was pretty standard for a hostel: maybe just a little bit smaller than I've seen at other hostels, but the lockers are huge, and my bed and pillow were both very comfortable. Also the staff were very friendly, the common area was very large and clean the whole time, and the hostal is in a great location. We had the largest private room, which technically could sleep 3 people, but it would feel pretty small with three people if you all have bags. It was perfect for two people, it had a great view and a very comfortable bed, and the bathroom and shower were really nice. I would definitely stay at this hostal again!

I love the comfort, the quiet, the neighborhood and most of all the hostess, Lucy! This is a safe neighborhood within walking distance of all the main sights in the city. It was unbelievably quiet in the hotel, I couldn't beleive it. The bed was perfect for me and I slept well. If you follow the instructions and wait for the hot water, the water pressure is very generous, nice and hot, too! There is so much to love about Guadalajara! Lucy is very helpful and always available. Guests have kitchen privileges as well. The only con - I don't want to leave! There are so many good restaurants around, it's probably good that I'm leaving while my clothes still fit!

The most friendly ladies here to make everyone feel like we are at home. Great location in a nice neighborhood. So kind and helpful. I got some great Spanish lessons as well as sharing English. I called it home. Private rooms, and such a lovely courtyard with beautiful plants.

Loved the building and it’s architecture. Lots of light in the rooms nice balconies. The staff is efficient and kind. The 2 sisters, the lady who does the cleaning was very thorough keeps everything spotless, her sister prepares great breakfasts. (Best breakfasts I’ve ever had in a Youth hostel). Keep it up!
