I don’t understand why this hotel doesn’t have 10 stars. It’s perfect. A summary of all the good things: 1. The deck. One day I literally spent the entire day at the deck, either reading a book in one of the beds, taking a swim, seeing sea-animals passing by, etc… 2. Breakfast is good and generous. I had the Caribbean breakfast every day. 3. Location is perfect. Just a few blocks far from “the noise”, yet close to several restaurants, grocery stores and to Bocas downtown. It’s walkable from/to the Almirante boats docks. 4. Staff was nice. 5. The room was perfect. 6. We took the advertised tour to Isla Zapatilla for $37, which I recommend. 7. Wifi was decent. Had a little glitch sometimes from the room, but acceptable. 8. We had a welcome drink/activity at night and used the paddle board for free on Thursday at 10am.

Bambuda Lodge is located in the tropical rain forest in Bocas del Toro. The property features a coral reef off its dock and a swimming pool with an on-site bar and a fun and social atmosphere.

I love that its located in the jungle, and they organize jungle hikes everyday! Its so pretty! You could sloths while taking a swim in the pool. Also the volunteers Aleksandra and Benjamin were so nice, friendly and helpfull! They for sure made my stay here better.

I found this place last minute and really appreciated that it was pet-friendly and had self check-in, which made everything super easy. The hosts were easy to contact via WhatsApp and responded quickly. There’s no AC, but the bedroom has a large, powerful fan, and there’s another in the shared living room area, so it stayed comfortable. I also appreciated the comfy seating at the dining table. The kitchen area was clean and well equipped.

The food was amazing. To walk out of your room each day to a welcoming staff with great food and drink choices was incredible. Plus, the views from Aqua Lounge are top tier. The swimming too - everything about our stay was great!

Martha was a great host! Her home is in a beautiful location and next to everything downtown. Short walk from the airport as well!

Surfari Bocas offers pet-friendly accommodations in Bocas Town. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, private bathroom fitted with a hot water shower.

It has an excelent location and the staff was very welcoming. We stayed at the little apartment they have, it has its own kitchen and we were able to make our own breakfast. The woom was pretty clean, besides some little roaches (inevitable in the area) the stay was pretty awesome. They let us leave our luggage while waiting for the next check-in in another hostel.

The owner was always available for assistance and there was always someone at the front desk/bar with a smile. The lounge/kitchen area with tables and hammocks overlooking the ocean and islands was such a nice place to relax.

Reliably hot showers, roof top seating, and complimentary coffee will always win me over. Private room even had a mini fridge and aircon which is quite luxurious by hostel standards.
