Also closeby is the municipal market, where they cook delicious food at lunch time at a very affordable price.

The other gentlemen were very considerate and helpful as well. The dorm beds were super comfortable and the shower rooms were very large. They let us take a quick shower after we checked out and we were all sweaty from touring the old town the whole day (Sao Luis is hot and humid!) Thank you so much for letting us shower because we had to take an overnight flight afterwards and if we hadn’t showered, it would’ve been a long and disgusting day. It saved us. Obrigado!
