The best place I've ever stayed in the mountains, I arrived late as I got a little lost on my bike. The owner made me spaghetti bolognese after the kitchen had closed, I am really thankful for that after a hard day on the bike. The situation and setting of the place is incredible. Straight away you can walk up the mountains, bike or just relax. I wish I'd stayed there for longer. I actually had the dormitory to myself and he still made me breaking at 7-30 just me in the restaurant. Proper mountain breakfast and then a walk up to almost 3000m!

Room and equipment: I stayed in a four bed room which is spacious enough for a stay. They provide big locker in the room and also mirror and sink which is convenient. The unforgettable experience is that the room faces Matterhorn, i enjoyed the view a lot!! Public area and shower are clean, obviously they concern the cleanliness in the shower. Breakfast: The breakfast is outstanding, everything is fresh and with a lot of selection. They also provide great coffee and Caotina chocolate milk. Must try the breakfast!!

Among the various facilities are a bar and a ski pass sales point. The hostel features an indoor pool, evening entertainment and a concierge service. The recent refurbishment is classy and stylish. The pool is swanky with huge windows looking out over the mountains, ditto for the spa which is 13chf extra per day and worth a visit. Breakfast is ample with lots of choice. No complaints at all! Staff are nice too. I stayed in a mixed dormitory because the hotel was full so no female dorms were set up. The room was big. For a youth hostel it’s not cheap but what can I say, it is Switzerland so what can you do? It’s a 7 minute walk to the funicular which drops you into the ski resort. I loved the skiing. Lots of red runs and many drag lifts.
