The staff were incredibly friendly and picked us up from the train station. He gave us the best food recommendations, advice on the sites to see and made us feel very welcome. You even get a view of Fuji to wake up to on the morning. Can't recommend staying here highly enough.

Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Somewhat near the Kawaguchiko station. It’s about 15 mins walk from the station. It was kind of tough walking with a luggage but the views certainly made up for it. The room was clean, the bathrooms were clean and equipped with basic necessities, and the pantry/kitchen was clean. Overall I definitely enjoyed my stay here!

Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. most amazing accommodation on our trip so far views are amazing. Location was great loved the free tea. The traditional style housing was so great.

Traditional looking Hostel close to the JR station, but also offers car parking (and plenty of parking nearby too!). Looks clean and new. The staff are lovely. The rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms and baths are clean and lovely. You use a booking system… do it is private or family use.

Everything was great, the host was very friendly and made us a delicious breakfast each morning. The location is great with very good access to train and bus. The views around the area are beautiful. I would recommend it.

It's a beautiful guesthouse, more like a cozy home than a hostel in terms of atmosphere, so it may not be the best option for solo travelers looking to socialize. The staff was friendly, and everything was in good order. There is a microwave and hot water, which was convenient. The location is also good. However, it was cold inside—it actually felt even colder than outside. There is an air conditioner, but I don’t like the fan-type heater; it just doesn’t work well for me. Still, I recommend the place overall

Dot Hostel&Bar 富士山 is located in Fujikawaguchiko. With a shared lounge, the property also has a bar. American breakfast is available. Beautiful place, I’ll remember the lake, the neighborhood and the peacefully of this spot. I’ll definitely recommend it.

I loved the large dining and lounge area and the kitchen. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. The staff even brewed a pot of coffee for guests.
