Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. Great hostel with good facilities (bed + room). This hostel gives off a very great vibe with wooden chairs, table. I also like the shampoo and shower gel here, very good quality, also the hairdryer is also provided. The bathroom is super clean and staff are all helpful

Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. The property is located on the main road next to the tourist info centre. It is very well decorated, the room was big and spacious, toilets and communal areas immaculate clean. In the living room there was a counter with a coffee machine and selection of teas and infusions available to guests. The property is very well looked after by both the staff and guests.

The owner is an absolute sweetheart. She runs the hostel by herself and does all the cleaning and hostel preparations for your arrival. She is fluent in English as well which is a big plus to foreign travelers. I contacted her that I was going to be checking in slightly late and she said it was alright. The first night I stayed in a bunk and the 2nd night was a private room. I slept very well both nights and the hostel has a very home-y feeling to it. The location is also excellent being <10minute walk from Gekkouji station. Owner recommended me to visit Arakurayama park to get a view of Mt fuji and it was worth it. I went at sunrise with other travelers. It is about 15 minute walk to the location.
