The "bed" is actually a neatly patitioned cubicle where I can stand up as if in a room. Hostel located right in the walkway up to the must-go temple, with restaurants open till late left and right. Super clean. Hostel of good design: showers, toilets, kitchen, coffee machine etc on ground floor while beds on upper levels, so very quiet for good sleep. Lots of common space to relax in. Staff helpful and informative responding with plenty eating and drinking options. Check in and out can be fully electronic, while staff in place during reasonable hours.

Set in Tosa and within 22 km of Daizen-ji Temple, Hostel John Mang ゲストハウス ジョン has free bikes, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. John and Mari are amazing hosts, they offered me a free ride on the way back from temple 36 (i was walking on the pilgrimage), they speak English well which is a big plus for foreigners in Japan, they also use whatsapp and one can contact them anytime, the facilities are clean and new, there is a ferry one can take nearby to continue on the pilgrimage, they even offer some free snacks for the guests. They have available bikes for free if one wants to get to the nearest supermarket/convinience store, even so they still offered to take me there by car. Super great and organised people.

Located in Sukumo, ゲストハウス アルベルゲ Guesthouse ALBERGUE SAKURA features free bikes, garden, shared lounge, and free WiFi throughout the property. Quiet, nice area, beautiful layout of kitchen, dining and lounge areas, great for connecting with other ohenros, so well-outfitted, nice rooms, bath, attractive, well-organized and comfortable, near major supermarket.

Located in Sanuki, 13 km from Yakuri-ji Temple, 宿 inn TEK-TEK provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking and a shared lounge. This is an excellent hostel. It had everything I wanted, was exceptionally clean, dorm beds were roomy and the staff great.

I visited the Sea Turtle Museum which was a short walk from the hostel. The facilities were clean and well equipped. My room was comfortable. I also enjoyed the rooftop deck and the views.

Hostel & Tatami Bar Uchikobare er staðsett í Uchiko, nokkrum skrefum frá Machiya Resource Center og 200 metrum frá Omura Residence. This dorm has a very nice cafe downstairs and its location is great. The hosts were very friendly and the facilities are good. Also very practical that it can be booked online.

This is a wonderful place to stay with the kindest family as the hosts. They were so sweet to allow me to come early and rest as the heat was terrible and I was hiking. She also cooked me the most delicious vegetarian meal and visited with me while I ate. I loved my stay!
