Bundeena Base is a good name for this property. It's a base from which you can strike out and explore the beaches and park life, hiking, or kayaking, exploring and finding lots of things to discover about this beautiful place in Australia. Bundeena Base is set up in such a way that you would walk straight into a home, somewhere really well equipped and beautifully presented and very comfortable. It is the only property in Bundeena that you can swim in your own private solar heated pool, looking out over the Port Hacking water and still have a fantastic level of privacy.
I used to own a 10 bedroom hotel and the one thing I learned from that experience is if you cannot provide a good quality bed/mattress and a very high level of cleanliness, it doesn't matter how 'designer' your lamp shade is! I'm very particular in how I set up a property and I suppose it all boils down to one thing... would I want to stay there? My sense of achievement comes from a guest going home with a smile and lots of good memories - it's what will bring them back again and again. Love that my property has become part of their memory making and story telling.
We have a very high proportion of artists, writers and musicians living in this little community. It is a very friendly place, a smile and hello is all it takes to start up a conversation. We have a few coffee shops, an independent restaurant, a brand new Community Club (former RSL), and a bowling club with a restaurant. Lots to choose from if you don't fancy cooking. We have a well stocked local IGA supermarket, beauticians salon, newsagent, chemist, petrol station and a resident doctor.
