Great location, with a beautiful vista over Jachymov, at a stone's throw from the city hall and museum and next to the Stola museum. Basically, secluded but very close to al the important places in the upper part of the town. Spacious room, excellent shower, helpful owner, always ready to give a suggestion or two about your day trips. Rich breakfast and very tasty evening meals (thanks to the very good Ukrainian cook, meals have a kind of homemade feel). This is kind of important, as for the time being there isn't a wide selection, restaurant-wise, in Jachymov. Seems to be rather family-oriented, with rather quiet guests. All in all, great value for money.

In the complex of an old mine, a small mountain hotel, no frills, excellent both for breakfast (included), country dinner and beer (extra but worth the trip!). High part of the old town is surreal at night, a couple of km down there is the radioactive thermal town.

I liked everything, and find worthwhile mentioning all this: 1. the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful; 2. this Bed&Breakfast was the only place at the Jachymov town area (i.e. not the spa area) serving a beer on tap, and it was a craft beer (the Chodovar lager) and not any corporate brand, and for a very good price, and 3. the selection of salty foods for breakfast was excellent thanks to several kinds of both hams and salamis, plus some other items. The former town centre is totally dead, and I liked my evening walk around, talking to the local people from whom I found out that while there used to be more than 20 pubs before, now the only other place serving a beer on tap is actually formally a private club. But a walk to the spa area is only about 1,5 kilometres, and more importantly this Bed & Breakfast was also serving a dinner (a small selection of non-vegetarian dishes when I was there, which I did not try, as I had my dinner at the spa area).

Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Betreiber der auch perfekt deutsch spricht. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und super für Tagestrips nach Oberwiesenthal oder Karlsbad. Die Pension hat ein kleines Restaurant in dem man ein tolles und üppiges Frühstück bekommt und abends auch noch was trinken kann.
