Lieblingsplatz ("favorite place") Füssen vacation home You can look forward to 4 bedrooms for up to 8 guests, all with a smart TV and south-facing balcony access, 3 bathrooms, an additional sauna area with shower/WC and direct access to the fully private furnished garden with a gas BBQ and a barn for storing bicycles and sports equipment. When restoring the house, we attached great importance to the use of natural materials in the design. Thus, the floors are made of stone or soaped natural wood planks in oak, and the over 400-year-old roof beams were blasted with walnut shells and impressively exposed. In the living area with an open gallery, you can let your gaze wander into the distance, despite being in the middle of the beautiful medieval town of Füssen. The modern gas fireplace, which provides warmth and flames at the touch of a button, invites you to spend pleasant sociable evenings here. And the view beckons you to dream, even if the sun should not be shining in the blue skies of the Ostallgaeu for once. We, the Schaub-Settele family, live and work in Frankfurt am Main. Katrin is a native of Füssen, and Michael is passionate about converting old houses into true gems. We both love interior decorating. So a house in the beautiful historic old town of Füssen was the perfect project. Finding the right object was, however, tricky. All kinds of property were on offer, but mostly unsuitable, without a garden, no sun, etc. After all, the house was also to serve as a vacation home. By chance, the opportunity arose to buy the ideal building directly on Schrannenplatz square, an excellent location in the historical town for a larger family or for a smaller group. In our opinion, a true favorite place to relax or be active. "The almost limitless range of leisure and activities around the Lieblingsplatz-Füssen vacation home overwhelms us time and again." "Here, after almost two years of major refurbishment, we began welcoming guests from January 2021."
You'd love to spend your vacation with your loved ones in a sophisticated, private setting, surrounded by imposing mountain scenery, beautiful lakes and castles, yet in the heart of a picturesque old town that offers all the amenities for a relaxing or active stay? Then you've come to the right place! Stroll out the front door and you are immediately in the Schrannenplatz pedestrian zone, with cafés, restaurants and shops inviting you to linger in the beautiful, vibrant old town. Directly opposite is Café Loumee, offering the best espresso etc. locally. Exiting to the rear via the garden gate plunges you into a completely different world - a sunny oasis of tranquility surrounded by old walls with Italian flair.
