Norbert met us at the front door to the property with a smile. He showed us all corners of the apartment and answered all of our questions. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I suggest that anyone that wants a place that you can relax and look at the mountains, enjoy the excellent food at the restaurant downstairs, have access to hiking trails, and the train station-pick this place!!

A beautiful little town in the mountains. There are sooo many choices of where to eat. Walking around oldtown is a treat with the paintings on the buildings, views of the mountains and decisions of where to eat. Oldtown is completely walkable.

We've been to Mittenwald many times and it's one of my favorite places in the region. It's a beautiful village with lots to see and do. There are many places to hike and a cable car trip to the top of Karwendel is a great way to spend a day.

Mittenwald has a lot to offer for all ages and interests.

Mittenwald has a lot to offer for all ages and interests. The historical city centre has a number of sights and a good choice of restaurants - for many the real beauty begins once you leave the city. From taking cable cars, walking along the river or through the forest to climbing peaks up to around 2,500 m, the natural surroundings are stunning. The city does a good job at offering public buses that take tourists to the most important sights and trailheads, giving us the chance to leave the car at home and help preserve the gem that Mittenwald is!

We loved wandering through the town, looking at all the painted façades of the old buildings. There is a variety of walks from Mittenwald. We did the walk to the Leutascher Geisterklamm, beginning at the Koboldpfad & completing a figure 8, crossing the Panoramabrücke twice. We also took the Kranzberg chairlift to the top, then walked to the Lautersee, down the Laintal, following the waterfall & back to Mittenwald.

The view of the beautiful Alpine Triangle is stunning. We were very lucky that on the first day we arrived, the weather was clear and sunny, with a strong sun that made for great photos. When it was time to leave, the weather turned gloomy and it started to snow heavily, with big, fluffy snowflakes. The entire trip was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it.

The location was perfect, right in the centre of Mittenwald. We came by motorbike and there was a secure parking garage at the back. We had a room with a balcony with lovely flowers and a view of the mountains. The guest house is a typical, old fashioned Tyrolean type, old dated furnishings, but super clean and all you need. Staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Benny was the most wonderfull host. He greeted us on the street on our arrival, asked us our preferences for activities and then helped us plan two days itinerary in and around Mittenwald. The room was great with a balcony and the breakfast was delicious (and a special mention to the hot chocolate).

I have stayed at the Post Hotel several times. As always it is an excellent choice in a lovely Alpine village. However this year it rained every day which was disappointing and the comfort of the hotel was even more appreciated to escape the rain!

Very nice apartment in the middle of Mittenwald. Clean and with everything you might need. Supermarkets and restaurants are reachable by foot. Great location to go for hiking. It was really great, super recommended!
