We (Eelco and Mieke and our daughter Rosa) have been coming regularly and with great pleasure to the Eifel since 2011 to enjoy the peace, space and beautiful nature. VILLA IM BONGERT has been the starting point for a weekend or holiday for ourselves and with family and friends for years. Villa Im Bongert is a lovely (family) house with lots of space both inside and outside and fully equipped. Located at the gate of the Eifel National Park and within walking distance of the center of Hellenthal. Due to its layout and dimensions, Villa Im Bongert is particularly suitable for a family, holiday with 3 generations, 3 couples or friends who come to enjoy the Eifel together. The house has a large living room with wood stove, large dining area and a modern spacious kitchen with a dishwasher, combi microwave, induction hob and fridge-freezer.
The house has two spacious bedrooms with a double bed and one bedroom with a bunk bed. There is a bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and double sink. On the ground floor is a large lounge area with 2 large armchairs, sofa and door to the garden to relax. The villa is surrounded by a large garden spread over three floors. Next to the living floor is a garden with dining table, chairs, lounge armchairs, BBQ, wood stove and a trampoline for the children. One floor below is a garden with a picnic table and a lovely place for the hammock. Downstairs there is another garden for the children with a playground with slide and swing. Free WiFi, Internet, Smart TV (incl, Chromecast to stream from your phone / tablet) and cable TV channels are available. Free parking (including a garage) is available. Possibility to book an extra bathroom with toilet + spacious bedroom with a double bed (with 2 single mattresses) on the ground floor (please contact us for this). So standard 3 bedrooms + 1 bathroom (as described above) and expandable with 1 extra bedroom + bathroom. For your own comfort, we have set the standard maximum at 6 persons per stay. If use is made of the option to rent the extra bedroom + bathroom on the ground floor, the maximum is set at 8 persons (max 6 adults + 2 children) per stay.
Villa Im Bongert is located in Hellenthal, 500 meters from the center. There are various restaurants and shops. The Aldi is just 300 meters away. In the spring thousands of wild daffodils flower in Hollerath. In winter you can enjoy the Weisser Stein winter sports area in Udenbreth. You can walk and cycle directly from the house. The Olefthalsperre is 500 meters away. A 13.5 kilometer long walking and cycling route runs around the reservoir. You can find various hiking and cycling trails on the website of the municipality of Hellenthal. The Wildfreigehege, which is almost in the back garden, offers a beautiful environment with many different animals and a playground. There is much to discover and do in the area. A visit to Aachen, Cologne, Bonn, Koblenz, Trier and Maastricht are recommended. All cities can be reached by car within an hour to just over an hour. Or visit the wine regions of the Ahrthal or the Moselle. Other tips: Monschau, Blankenheim and Bad Münstereifel (beautiful half-timbered villages), Nürburgring, Phantasialand, Rursee, Kronenburger See, Kyllradweg and Vennbahn.
