The hotel is at the end of the Cornish and overlooks an ancient palace and park. But it also means that it is far away from the rest of the attractions.
Breakfast was nice, with huge selection of Middle Eastern and European selections.
Staff were very accommodating.
If I had time, I would have had a foot massage... but the service did not start until after 9am and I had to leave to see the sites - next time. Prices were good.

Crazy traffic and noise, dangerous to walk as a pedestrian since there are almost no traffic lights and pedestrian crossings. Uber taxis are very cheap, but most of them drive like crazy and don't have functional seatbelts at the back seats. We found the best food and view at the Greek Club, and amazing croissants at the Croissant D'Alexis! Montazah park is beautiful and offers some fantastic views away from the traffic and the noise.

Visiting town centre, with its many suks, was one of the highlights. Major sights like the Library are well known. Less so the newly renovated Greek and Roman Art Museum. Our guide didn't intend to take us there but we insisted and were very pleased that we did as it is one of the most important museums in Egypt.

It’s a great city for the soul. Once you enter the city and see the sea, you will feel so refreshing.
Everything is great there, whatever historical places or nature or atmosphere in the downtown in the night.

There is no place to take a pleasant walk in the city or spend time except the museum and library. It is a very ruined, chaotic, noisy, dirty city with terrible traffic, so walking or hanging around is not only unpleasant but also tiring. However, its library and Greco-Roman Museum are incredibly impressive. Other museums are very ordinary. Seafood dishes are very fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Therefore, I think 2 days are enough to visit this city; You can spend a lot of time in the library and the museum, take a coffee break in a cafe (the number of stylish ones is almost nonexistent), take a short city walk and see what looks like it and gain insight about the city and have a seafood dinner in the evening and continue on your way.

was a lovely hotel, staff all friendly, my only complaint is that everywhere you went you could smell cigarette smoke, people smoked in the lobby, and the corridors the rooms, even though my room was clearly labeled no smoking everything stunk of cigarette smoke including fresh bedding and towels. this for a smoker would be not noticed, but if like me and my daughters (all nonsmokers) it was enough to put a black cloud over the whole holiday .

I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria.
I was pleasantly surprised by Alexandria. It is a big, bustling city, and parts of it are very dirty. However, there are so many interesting things to see, and it is pretty easy to get around, I used Uber. It’s a very interesting city, and I recommend giving it at least a few days.
This was one of best experiences in Egypt ever. Very high value to money, great location with inspiring sea views, surprisingly with such reasonable price, it was very clean, bathroom very clean. Staff is great, friendly and know how to host guests, specially Nermin, who is very welcoming with a decent smile to guests.
Location is spot on to mention, directly on the kornish with many of shops, cafes, etc in a walking distance. Next time I will visit Egypt and Alex, I will definitely rebook this fantastic place.
This is great location 3 minutes from the promenade. Nearby there is a tram station and a supermarket. There are many coffee and restaurants in the area with middle check 50-100 pounds. The really sociable owner is always in online👍.
The room is clean and there is an amazingly comfortable desk to work with (It is very important for me). Probably the best wifi in Egypt 👍👍👍 And you have a balcony with a super view.
I really liked living here, I recommend visiting this place.
Clean. Great views. Close to corniche. Fantastic apartment. But be aware that you may be immersed in an Egyptian neighborhood: parts of street not paved and filled with trash, no elevator door, no electricity 7-8pm (don’t use elevator this time), walking distance to downtown but a long walk (we used Uber often to get around). Friendly people in building and neighborhood, I felt safe there. Host and his staff were helpful and easy to communicate.
Pictures are not even close to how great is the view and the apartment is extremely big luxurious and have great view in the Mediterranean Sea. The house is huge and very clean for Egypt basic. They let me check in earlier due to availability and i appreciate it much Maha! Excellent communication via whats app, Maha help us with everything and suggest us places to eat. Location is very good (15-20 min wallking to Alexandria Biblioteca)
Stunning views of the seaside, we had nice time sitting on the balcony and enjoying the blue waters and waves. big comfy bed, cosy sofas in the living room, spacious bathroom. there was a large table to have our food on 😍 breakfast was a nice selection of vegetables, meats, cheeses and tasty Egyptian foods 😋 there was freshly made omelette. views over the sea from the breakfast restaurant. highly recommended, excellent location
Very nice spacious room, with modern facility including fridge, air con & tea kettle. Friendly & responsive staff. Typical Egyptian breakfast was prepared for us which was delicious & sufficient. This hotel exceeded our expectations. Loved the location near market & shops. Quiet room. Very thankful to the staff for their hospitality.
Friendliness of the staff specially Mirna the receptionist and Sara
Everything was clean and we found anything we may need in the room. Really good value for money, good place to stay I recommend to all friends inside or outside egypt
Thank you Mirna..for your professional handling of guest problems and their resolution
The location of the hostel was convenient. Close to the train station and all other public transport, and only a 2km walk to the citadel along the beach. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. Simple Egyptian breakfast was served by a friendly lady too. The common room is a good place to hang out and meet people.
Room was very nice. The man on the reception, I think Mustafa was his name, was very welcoming and helpful. He even prepared us early breakfast when we had to catch our flight in the morning. Breakfast was very good. Comapre to other hotels in Egypt, it was not so cold during the night (we travelled in February).
Amidst apparent chaotic urbanity of second biggest City of Egypt, Alexandria, the historical mini-castle and now hotel allowed for tranquility and inspiring beauty from the very moment entering the reception/ lounge and all the way up to the roof terrace with a relaxing view and restaurant.
A classy seaside fortress in the vibrant center of Alexandria. Overall friendly staff, colorful carpets, beautiful silent old elevators, scrumptious breakfast, functional balconies and modern toilets. The first floor bar serves one of the best martinis you’ll find in Egypt.
Honestly this was the most horrible experience I have ever had in Egypt. I was shock from the first minute I entered the place and how the staff was rude. I couldn’t cancel my entire booking and they charged me for the first night so I had to stay.
Amazing hotel, best out of the 4 I stayed in in Egypt by far. Facilities, staff and room were beyond my expectations. Great food and the most amazing bathtub after a long day of touring
The location is ideal, as the hotel is inside a park so you escape from the noise and the chaos of the cars and the horns of Alexandria. The pool was clean and quiet too.
I think it’s very good hotel location is wonderful staff very friendly people. I received room upgrade to suit room . Best breakfast you may get was with big variety.
