A wonderful camping-style experience in a creatively built cabin in the woods. There are lots of resourceful little touches that we hope you will find interesting (check out the windows)! We are big into recycling to eliminate needless waste from ending up in landfills. Your private bathroom and kitchenette are 30 meters from the cabin in the main house. If you struggle with mobility or don’t like the idea of having to walk to the bathroom at night this camping experience might not be for you. (If this is the case please check out the La suite du Bûcheron, also situated on site.) We are located on a farm where you will meet our many friendly free-range animals such as horses, goats, chickens, cats, and dogs. Your pets are very welcome! But please note that if your pet struggles with self-control around other animals, we would appreciate they be kept on a lead. We are definitely one for animal lovers! We are very conveniently just off the A63 (exit 14) motorway allowing you easy access, ideal for a relaxing respite on a long journey. For this convenience, we can hear the motorway although it is not overpowering and has never bothered us! We are also only 25 minutes from the beach (Contis Plage) and 10 minutes from a beautiful lake with crystal clear water (Lac d’Arjuzanx). Please don’t hesitate to ask us for local recommendations. We keep our prices as low as possible to accommodate as many of you as we can year-round. For this reason, you may find that the towels and the bedding don’t match! We try to be mindful of the planet and get the full use out of everything we have to avoid creating unnecessary waste. That said everything is still good quality. This is a family run farm stay, we are passionate about our animals, our traditional property that has been built up by hand and handed down through the generations and we look forward to sharing all that we have with like-minded people like you!

The hosts, David and Mitzel, are a family with two boys of 18 (Kurt) and 16 years (Anthony). David is English and his wife Mitzel is of Filipino origin. We try to be welcoming and helpful

The property is situated near the A63, half way between Bordeaux and the Spanish border. It is very a very convenient stop for travelers but there is some background sound as a result. The property is otherwise surrounded by forest. The Atlantic Ocean and the sandy beaches are 25 km from the property (Contis). There are some restaurants in the area but the opening times can be confusing so we offer food for those how need it. We make food to order so please let us know in advance what you need so we can get the necessary provisions in advance.
