The chateau was a fairy-tale come true. So much thought has clearly been poured into every decoration, service, item to make you feel like you are living in royal luxury. The facilities were centrally located among all the main attractions we wanted to see in the Loire Valley, making for easy day-trips wherever we needed. Tours was a 20-min drive and had everything we needed for convenient shopping and dining. The hosts are among the most generous, fascinating people that I have met in my travels. Frankly, it's worth the drive and price just to have a chat in the gardens with them (lol but the house stands on its own)

Château de Chenonceau, Château d'Amboise, Clos Lucé. Walk, cycle and picnic around this area and have an amazing sunset cocktail by the river across from Château d'Amboise. Château de Villandry for the most amazing french garden, Château d’Ussé where Sleeping Beauty story was inspired and written, Château d’Azay-le-Rideau, French Renaissance architecture and Château de l’Islette where Camille Claudel, one of the French best sculptor, lived.
