Attention to details that we found really thoughtful and enjoyable both inside the gîte (all kitchen utensils and even picnic set in case people, like ourselves, didn’t foresee it and also in the garden (bbq ready-and-easy-to-use). Spacious bathroom, bedroom furnished with taste and very comfy bed 🥳

A private swimming pool and river garden await you at Gite Florence to relax, eat, swim and enjoy the wildlife. Gite Florence is an independent, fully equipped apartment on the ground floor with private access, located on the banks of the Vernazobre river, located in Combejean, commune of Pierrerue, 6 minutes by car, 25 minutes on foot or 15 minutes by bike from Saint Chinian and it’s Agréments. 30 minutes from the Mediterranean beaches. We are 40 minutes from Béziers airport and just over 1 hour from Montpellier or Carcassonne and their airports. Gîte Florence has its own off-road parking. Opposite is a terrace overlooking the river and descending to a garden, a tranquil and private position for relaxing, dining and relaxing. There is a swimming pool to enjoy and it may be possible to swim in the river. We have bicycle storage if you wish to travel with your own bicycles or rental is available nearby. Buses are available locally. The house was built in the 1800's and it still has the wine vat from the days of being a maison du vignerons, It has also seen life as a café during the war and was a bar/restaurant in 1970's and 80s. Due to it;s age it has thick walls and so keeps a pleasant ambient temperature. To start your holiday we provide a small welcome pack including Tea, Coffee, Orange Juice, Milk and Eggs. A change of bedding and towels are available during your stay if required.
We have welcomed guests in France since 2021 and have previously hosted a successful self catering cottage in the U.K.
We are perfectly located in the heart of the Saint Chinian wine area, on the borders of the Languedoc Nature Park, the mountains and the Mediterranean beaches. With good weather April to October, the whole area is very popular for walking, exploring, wine and cycling, many competitions are held locally and The Tour de France is a frequent visitor to the area. Exploring by foot or cycle is possible from the gite's doorstep and bikes can be hired locally. We can recommend places to walk, visit or cycle. If you travel with your own cycles, we have secure storage for this and windsurf equipment or similar. A short walk from the gite in our village is a wine domaine which produces excellent wines and a tasting of their wines can be arranged, we can also recommend other growers in the area.
