Incredible city in lovely Normandy!
Incredible city in lovely Normandy! A lot of wonderful traditional French architecture, roof tops with ardoise, a lot of boats in the port, seagulls - you will find much more than you can imagine! We like Normandie very much, we stayed in Deauville-Trouville-sur-Mer many times and decided to research sea cost far up to La Havr. So we arrive to Honfleur only just to walk during a day, but - we stayed for night))) and after that for one more night))) If you really like France and especially Normandy, you will never tire of walking there, no matter how long you are there!

A very touristy place to visit.
A very touristy place to visit. Lots of places to eat and drink that get packed very early for lunch and dinner. Not cheap. No need to go back but I can see why some people would be attracted to the quayside etc.

An absolutely lovely town visually, with a 16-17th core and one great modern(ish) art gallery (Eugène Boudin) plus one v quirky museum (Satie). It's stuffed with private art galleries (some of them excellent) and restaurants (most decidedly average, but then even average moules frites are v nice); that's because it's tourism central, with the old part of town wall-to-wall holiday lets and the streets thronged with rubbernecking tourists (including us). The rest of the town, around the edges of the vieux ville, is pleasant enough, with real shops and local inhabitants. The beach, a short way out of town, is long, sandy and vast; the viewpoints above the town are worth visiting both for the views and the quirky Notre Dame de Grace; and Honfleur is well placed for visiting the likes of Deauville and Trouville, Le Havre (another fine museum/gallery, with lots of Raoul Dufy), Etretat (forget the town, it's hell trying to find somewhere to park: make for the gardens up above it), and Calvados country generally (for the local markets and local produce. Like Calvados)

A pretty coastal town in Normandy where many artists lived.
A pretty coastal town in Normandy where many artists lived. The Boudin museum is worth a visit. The celebrities sculpture park (Garden of Fame) is great for a walk - beautiful, well maintained, peaceful. (Free public toilets.)The old town has interesting architecture, but the area around the harbour is full of tourists, sundry shops and eating places catering for the crowds....

Honfleur was such a delight , we decided to stay an extra night than originally planned, so much to see.
Plenty of history with historic and beautiful buildings around the harbour.
So many restaurants, cafes, shops and bars.
Every meal we had was delicious, serving time was quite lengthy, everywhere was extremely busy.
A pretty place to visit. I would like to stay again but longer next time.
This property is spectacular. Operators are wonderful, customer focused and incredibly nice. A fantastic car park, just 2-3 minute walk from the hotel. Wonderful location, just a couple of minutes walk to Church, clock tower and marinas. The most beautiful small city in France. Wonderful city for ateliers, artists of all kinds as well. Breakfast was incredible. Try an omelet. Fresh juices, croissants (of course) and beautifully served. We cannot wait to return to Maison de Lucie!
Excellent location near centre of town with 5mins walk to harbour and 10 mins to beach. Limited car park but we managed to get in which was worthwhile as town can be busy with cars. Car park is small and a bit tight getting in and out but we managed! Got a free room upgrade as well. Lovely twin aspect bedroom with plenty of space. Breakfast was very good. If we were visiting Honfleur again we definitely use this hotel again.
Nadia is very polite and the communication was easy. The locations of the apartment is excellent - close to everything and quiet at the same time. In Honfleur it's a plus to have a place with parking!
The apartment is cosy and has everything you need. It's was very kind from the host to receive us with a bottle of cider and offer in the apartment tea, coffee and other things like sugar, salt, spices.
We had a wonderful stay in Honfleur in this beautiful accommodation and our dogs LOVED the garden. The house is renovated with such beauty and attention to detail with the warmth and romance of France combined with a bit of Scandinavian coolness and simplicity. A true pearl. And the service we have received, both in writing from the office and by the person who checked us in and out was amazing.
A quintessential French Hotel and cafe. Perfect location to explore Honfleur. We stayed in the family room at the front of the hotel and it was perfect! Great sized bed settee for two and a coffee machine in the room!
Lovely, simple French breakfast in the morning served outside in their sweet little cafe.
Loved it! Definitely stay again.
Large room with great views a short walk into the sights of Honfleur. It also had a fridge which was very welcome. The hotel itself is wonderfully furnished with very helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Gardens were very good and we ate a picnic there. Pool area is very good with changing facilities, towels and towels, a real sun trap.
A wonderful accommodation in the heart of one of Normandy's loveliest towns - Honfleur. The hotel itself sits atop the restaurant and has nice views of the lively street below. The room had plenty of room and was well-appointed. It's located a minute walk from Honfleur's gorgeous harbor.
Very helpful front desk. Assisted us to find convenient and inexpensive parking in Honfleur which can be very crowded in summer. Front desk also recommended 2 superb Michelin-rated restaurants we greatly enjoyed. Plenty of free parking at hotel and very effective air conditioning.
They had the best breakfast croissants we had in France - large, moist, flavorful - really wonderful. Breakfast was a feast and the service was excellent. Christian and Mia were wonderful hosts. Parking was free and very convenient - right in front of the bed and breakfast.
Although advertised as budget, these small hotels are really great for short stopovers and are better than any other form of accommodation considered to be budget. Location here is excellent, just a 3 minute walk into the centre of Honfleur. There is free parking nearby too.
Comfortable Hotel in a brilliant spot overlooking the harbour. Short walk to the quayside with all the bars and restaurants and easy walk to shops etc. Very clean and comfortable hotel and the staff are very helpful. Not cheap - but then nothing is in Honfleur!
Very peaceful location and surroundings but close enough to walk into Honfleur bearing in mind it's downhill there but uphill coming back! Weather was great so had meals at the hotel on two nights and ate outdoors which was very pleasant.
Central location, lovely staff and great breakfast. I will definitely be staying there again on my next trip through Honfleur, and the staff were very welcoming of my dog Prince too. Many thanks, this hotel is great.
Well located in central Honfleur, near the harbor. Super clean and thoughtfully appointed. Comfortable bed, good lighting, good water pressure in shower. Responsive and friendly host.
Great view with wonderful location. I was not used to walk up stairs but, it was good for my health ! Super clean room and wonderful experience in Honfleur. Strongly recommend.
Everything was new and immaculately clean. Very safe and key card was needed to get into the hotel after 9 pm as well as in the elevator. Breakfast was delicious.
Excellent spot in Honfleur and beautiful hotel. Great value for the price. We have been upgraded to a better superior suite, awesome experience and very good staff.
Hotel Du Dauphin is in a great location in Honfleur. The staff were friendly and the room was suitable for our stay. Room was cleaned with fresh towels daily.
