Best place we ever stayed. Loved the living room with the fire place, the breakfast, the nature around it and the beds. Everything was more than perfect.

Is a little out of the way but the host mentioned this before we arrived and the peace and tranquillity of the location was outstanding. Lovely walks all around. Welcomed by Rachael on our arrival who made us feel at home straight away! Pot of tea and a slice of homemade cake in front of a roaring fire greeted us! Breakfast in front of another log fire, all homemade food and freshly prepared to order…choice of breakfast was amazing for a small B&B….it was so hard to choose! Rachael knew a lot about surrounding area and Scotland in general so could advise us and our fellow travellers about where to go and what to see, especially those on a tight schedule. This is unquestionably 5 star accommodation! We will be back!

Greeted with a lovely warm welcome and log burning fireplace in the living room! Homemade cake with coffee/tea prepared by the hosts James & Rachael. All our rooms were fantastic with each having their own large ensuite. Came down in the morning to have breakfast prepared for us, there's a perfect option for any personal requirements. Will be coming to stay again in the future, and will recommend to everyone!

The lodge was a wonderful Scottish house and location not far from Inverness where we wished to be staying. The proprietors gave a wonderful welcome to us as guests making us feel at home immediately. All the facilities were excellent with provision of superb lounge with log fire, a first class kitchen/diner for guest evening use. The breakfast was absolutely magnificent with everything to perfection and in abundance. Attention to detail was just brilliant with every request catered for.

An exceptional welcome on arrival at Balvraid. We were offered a tea/coffee and homemade cake by Rachel and James on arrival and made to feel really at home in the sitting room of the B&B side of the house. A very beautiful home in a peaceful location that has a large sitting room with a log burning fire as well as a large kitchen with ample cooking facilities to allow self-catering for evening meals. My daughter and I shared a twin room at the front of the house that was very spacious with a big bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the cooked breakfast and homemade bread and granola by Rachel had a full range of options as well the usual cereals and jams etc. All in all there wasn’t much to fault about our experience as we felt very welcome during our stay.

This is the King of B n B’s . The hosts James and Rachel are extremely hospitable and very charming.The breakfast was absolutely delicious. I loved this place and would definitely stay there again if I visited Scotland.
