Sea View Snugs at Laggan, hotel in Carsluith

Offering free WiFi, Sea View Snugs at Laggan is set in Gatehouse of Fleet. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with internet channels and a private bathroom.

Room was comfy, spacious, modern and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, with them being accommodating for our 1 year old child. Food at Gather great, with beautiful sea views. A 45/50min drive to Stranraer / Cairnryan if you’re using as an overnight stop off point en route to the ferry. It was our second time staying and would definitely recommend.

The Kirkcudbright Bay Hotel, hotel in Carsluith

With a traditional bar and restaurant, The Kirkcudbright Bay Hotel is situated in the vibrant harbour town of Kirkcudbright.

Large spacious room (No. 1) with seating area, desk and wardrobe. Large very comfortable bed. View over road junction (quite quiet) and the church grounds - very attractive. Central location so ideal for wandering around shops, museum and the waterfront. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and greeted us like old friends after a couple of days. Breakfasts were excellent and the evening meals superb. We were sad to leave after 7 days!

Perfect location! Right at the heart of Kirkcudbright and an easy walk to the river and to the rest of the town. The room was very spacious for a single. It was decorated to a high quality and immaculately clean. Breakfast, from the Full Scottish to the porridge was very generous and delicious. All of the staff I met were friendly and welcoming. The skies in that part of the world are amazing. My room was at the front and I had stunning evening sky views towards the sunset.
