Great little market town with a range of decent markets and festivals. Short stay so didn't get to visit the castle which we will do next time. Ate in the Charlton Arms which was good. Charming old town with an amazing castle. Lots of very interesting domestic architecture and public buildings. There are lots of dress shops, an amazing stationers and they have a market 3 times a week in the main square. Ludlow Castle was literally only five minutes from our accommodation. Well worth a visit to explore the grounds of this historic castle. Loved the market stalls with all their goods like clothing and confectionary. Elizabethan style buildings very picturesque. Full English breakfast was amazing plentiful and really tasty. Lots of other choice too including cereals, fruit, toast, jams and marmalade. Couldn’t fault the service. Rooms a little on the small size however what more do you want other than to get your head down at the end of the night. Bed really comfortable.
