Belthorn offers a tranquil base with glorious views over the moors to the Ribble estuary, providing some excellent walking and cycling opportunities. Within the village there is a friendly pub, The Dog Inn, which serves a tasty menu and even houses a small shop selling fresh farm produce. There is also an Italian restaurant and a children's play area. Blackburn is easily accessible and hosts a greater range of amenities.
