We stayed in Copper Beach Cottage, it was in the perfect location to unwind and relax. Our host Joanne was very welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the bed was really comfortable and we braved the bath outside, which was lovely and warm on a cold February night with the added bonus of listening to an owls call. Everything you could need is supplied for the benefit of enjoying your stay. It was worth a visit and we hope to stay again.

Room was really good size, clean, the twin beds were not next to each other and the room was comfortable. The private car park at the back made me feel safe leaving the car. It was a really good location for our needs. Plenty of storage.

Fantastic walks round the old race course, and loch.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The lady owner very kindly gave us a lift to our next hotel.
Hoping to return with my grandaughter, as she would love looking at the horses.

We visited family in Carluke but also we went to visit the New Lanark World Heritage Site which is a fa former 18th century cotton spinning mill village and visited the museum and shop.
We also went for a walk along the River Clyde which was beautiful.
We went for dinner to the Inn On the Loch where we had really nice food. The restaurant has a great variety of dishes. It is advisable to book in advance.

The facilities along the Clydeside are excellent especially for families with small children, it suited us perfectly.
The road to the property along the Clydeside is tight from the M74 and was being resurfaced at night, the diversion was long and not clearly sign posted which created a small problem.

Although Carluke may not seem to have much to offer itself, it is well situated for easy access to many tourist attractions including Glasgow. Edinburgh is also a short drive so the location has a lot to offer.
We visited New Lanark, walked down the Clyde, went to a couple of good local restaurants (Prego in Clyde Street a ten min walk away was a brilliant find) and Lanark Loch as part of our family visit.
amazing little find near Carluke. Brilliant lodge with everything you could need in the most beautiful surroundings! The gardens surrounding the property are simply beautiful and so peaceful! The swinging bench is my favourite as it’s so relaxing! Joanne was also wonderful and very accommodating and gave us helpful recommendations before we came on places to eat. Their little dog, jake, is also very cute!
