Our country cottage is the perfect place for a weekend getaway or longer stay. It is minutes away from Henley on Thames, can sleep 5 people and has gated parking. It shares a beautiful, spacious garden with your hosts (who live next door) with a private, seated outdoor area. The sitting room and bedroom both look onto the garden. The living room has a comfy large sofa bed, and blackout blinds to make a bedroom. It’s rural and quiet enough to take advantage of beautiful walks nearby but equally, has a village shop, post office, local pub and restaurants within walking distance.
Hello! I am married to Mark and we have 2 school-age boys and live close to Henley on Thames. We have both lived in cities (London & Bristol for many years) but decided to move out to the countryside. I worked for a newspaper for 7 years and during that time, found a love of yoga and have been teaching for the last 18 years. Since the pandemic, we have decided to take advantage of living in this beautiful part of the country and Airbnb a fabulous property in Henley as we love this town. We have been guests in a number of Airbnbs both here and abroad and enjoy meeting others from the Airbnb community. One very helpful point is that we live right next door so any questions? or queries you have, we are on tap to assist!
There is a shop, post office, pub and top-class restaurant all within walking distance from the Cottage. A little further afield, there is a fabulous brewery (Loddon Brewery) with food trucks at lunchtime and evenings, burger barn (Bottle & Glass Inn) and some beautiful walks nearby. It’s best to have a car to get around. There is a bus service to and from Henley, Reading and Marlow but the service is fairly infrequent. There is a railway station at Shiplake (7 mins away), Henley on Thames (10 mins away) and Reading (20 mins away). Parking at the cottage is private and gated.
