Fantastic location, just opposite the Windsor Castle. As a family of four we had two connecting rooms, clean and specious, which had all you need to have a comfortable stay - space for luggage, a wardrobe, a desk, a coffee table and an arm chair to enjoy your complementary tea or coffee. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. A very enjoyable stay!

Perfect for my son, he was proud sleeping in a big castle like in a museum, but all clean, modern big pool in cellar. Price for a family trip in such ambience very good.

Fairmont Windsor Park, The Christopher Hotel, Eton, and The Royal Adelaide Hotel got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Windsor.
Lots to see and do in and around Windsor, not least Windsor Castle, as well as various other lures, such as legoland. Runnymede (where democracy is said to have begun) is close by, and a visit to the air forces war memorial above the magna carta site is a moving experience. For walkers and cyclists, there are some lovely paths along the Thames, or you can hire a little boat and view the riverside from the water. Nearby Windsor Great Park is also great for walking, riding or cycling (the Bailiwick pub is a great stop on the edge of the Great Park). Take a stroll around Virginia Water. There's decent high street shopping and some interesting independents. No shortage of great cafes (leave the crowds at the castle, and head off down Peascod street to find more options) There are numerous good restaurants in Windsor, and some excellent choices nearby (Bray is a notable example). London is easily accessible by train (from both stations) or bus.
The Windsor Trooper is in an excellent location for a short stay in Windsor, easy walking distance from the train station and for getting around Windsor. Lovely clean room top floor room. The outside patio/garden area of the pub was right below our room but was lovely and quiet after 10pm when everyone has to leave the garden. Would definitely stay again.
Visit to the castle was very good. We enjoyed crossing the bridge and walking to Eton College. Lots of cafes and restaurants. We had snacks in the centre of the town , near the castle, and ate at our hotel. There were a lot of visitors in the town, but this was to be expected.
Disappointed that the Castle was Closed and the amount of building work spoilt the overall content of any photos taken. Some of the gift shops seemed a bit on the tacky side and most had the same stock but the prices are very very different on some items. The town itself was clean and tidy as was Eaton, plenty of places to choose from for meals.
Went with family to Windsor for Harry Potter and Lego Land visit Very Safe area in Windsor , lots to see Shops really nice and plenty of choices to eat Enzo Italian is a must for great food
The castle is the main drawcard onbviously. You can book online or in person. It pays to book ahead early and get the earliest entry time you can as during summer windsor gets very busy from arounf 11am. If you book onli e you have to check in and get paper tickets. Try to do this before you queue as there can be quite s delay. If you want to visit the tower or kitchen you need to buy a ticket inside the castle. Do this before you do anything else as they sell out quickly. Entry to the royal apartments and queen mary dollshouse are included in main tivket price .
Spacious, immaculate, everything had been thought about and was provided. Big kitchen area with modern appliances and all very clean. Lovely bedrooms. Comfortable. 10 mins walk into town and to castle, to the river or parks. Loved being close to places to eat. We were a family visiting Windsor Castle for an event and this worked out cheaper than separate hotel rooms and much more comfortable for my older parents to relax in. Downstairs loo and bedroom worked for us.
Excellent location and well appointed apartments near to Windsor centre. The management provided bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee and sugar. Beds very comfortable and excellent quality towels in the bathrooms. This two room apartment was easily big enough for two couples sharing (there were just the two of us), which would make it extremely economical as opposed to two hotel rooms. The private off road parking felt very secure.
Central hotel providing lovely clean, large room looking onto the High Street. Check-in was a little weird as asked to input my card details and CVC on a laptop. Hoping the card payment system has been upgraded by now! Nice and quiet just a stones throw from Windsor Castle and myriad of shops. Would love it if they can provide secure road bike storage for our next trip. Did not have breakfast due to COVID measures. Many thanks!
The room was super spacious, clean and comfortable. The lady who looked after us in the restaurant for both the evening service and breakfast service was really friendly and helpful. The service was great and the meal we ordered was deliciously excellent! The hotel was ideally situated as we just needed to cross the road and the ‘long walk’ to WINDSOR CASTLE was there!
Centrally located across the road from Windsor castle. Matthew and front of house staff to Jaques and team in restaurant were extremely friendly, professional and very accommodating when needed. Hotel was very clean, comfortable and would use again. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Windsor.
The room was fab with a huge bed, and a lovely bathroom - the shower was fab! The public areas of the hotel were a lovely mix of old world charm and modern understated luxury. I can't believe the room on a Friday night was only £120 - we have paid double in London for smaller, less attractive rooms.
The hotel is in an excellent location and only a couple of minutes away from Windsor Castle. It has immaculate grounds with lots of sitting areas. The rooms and facilities were spotlessly clean. The room was much bigger than standard rooms in many hotels. The toiletries in the room smelt divine!
The breakfast was great but not free. However, it was worth the extra pay. Nice clean hotel and friendly staff. Our room wasn't ready but they got us into a good room. It is close to the public bus stop from Heathrow, so it only cost £2 to get there.
Windsor
The hotel is in a safe area and is within walking distance of Windsor Castle and the shopping area. The management was very kind, and helpful and when we requested items such as towels, etc. He was very quick to respond.
Great location to the town. Bathroom spacious and very clean. Breakfast very good choice, plenty to choose from even a picky eater. Great hotel would stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting Windsor.
Windsor
The hotel is in a great location with plenty of food and drink options. Right next to the Windsor Bridge. The staff were helpful and friendly. The shower worked fine. The bed was okay.
Was a great location and a nice place to stay, all were helpful and friendly and would highly recommend staying in this hotel if you are planning a trip to Windsor, highly recommended
We were going to Windsor races and location excellent. Lovely quaint hotel with parking & superb breakfast in beautiful Eton.
Quiet, good breakfast, bus stop right outside, only 2 pounds from Heathrow on bus number 8, and same to Windsor.
Windsor
Good location for visiting the castle, convenient parking behind the hotel, lounge-kitchen is a nice touch
