Hotel in Windsor City Centre, Windsor
Located on Windsor High Street, just opposite the famous Windsor Castle, Macdonald Windsor offers bedrooms with free WiFi access throughout the property. The hotel also features a restaurant and bar. The MacDonald Windsor hotel is a lovely boutique hotel in the beautiful town of Windsor. I've stayed here several times. I find it a delightful place when flying in/out of Heathrow - it's a great alternative to the airport hotels and only a 20 or so minute ride from the airport. Windsor is a quaint town. The hotel is located across the street from Windsor castle and it's wonderful to walk around the town. Lots of shops and pubs to visit! The lobby area of the hotel is gorgeous and the restaurant has wonderful food. If you like Gin, definitely check out their cocktail specialties! The standard rooms are lovely but small, which is very common in the area. The service is very efficient. If you're traveling during the Christmas holidays, you'll enjoy the hotel and town decorations. Love the hotel and the town!

Set in 44 acres of landscaped grounds, the historic De Vere Beaumont Estate is consisted of of an 18th-century mansion, a chapel, 75 event spaces and a Georgian White House. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, as were all the public areas of the hotel. All of my requests were met. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming (I inadvertently left my reading glasses, housekeeping/reception posted them on to me). All in all a super stay

Many families visiting Windsor loved staying at Fairmont Windsor Park, The Royal Adelaide Hotel, and Macdonald Windsor.
We were in Windsor for the Royal Windsor Horse Show and the evening Jubilee it was a fabulous experience deciding which day of the show to go next year! We also visited Windsor Castle and the state apartments it again was a great day out not enough time to see the great park so will definitely be back.
WE loved Windsor, plenty of restaurants, bars, nice shops, lovely walks along the river, changing of the guard - so much to do and so little time to do it. Also plenty of choice in price range of places to eat and drink.
Windsor is more than only Windsor Castle! The parks around the are beautiful. The town itself is not that special. Eton is the neighbouring town, famous for it's college. Unfortunately you won't be able to see a lot of the grounds
A buzzing town steeped in history, I always enjoy my visits to Windsor and this last stay was no exception. The Long Walk and the Great Park are a must as well as of course the Castle and a walk by the river. A boat trip or a trip on the open-top double decker bus are other options. With plenty of places to eat out and Eton in close proximity, Windsor has something for everyone.
Windsor Castle was excellent value for money and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. It was worth booking in advance. We watched the changing of the guard and it is worth checking the time of this before you arrange your visit. Windsor Great Park is beautiful but vast so good walking shoes are a must and if you plan on exploring for a while make sure you take a drink with you.
Windsor is a great place to visit for the weekend. It's not too big so everything is accessible. I would recommend the Great Walk in Great Windsor Park as the view of the castle is spectacular. Wear comfortable shoes if you're going to walk it from one end to the other!! A walk over the Thames to Eton is very pleasant too! There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to chose from.
Lovely hotel just a short walk away from Windsor Castle and shops. Easy to find. Room had everything we needed for a night's stay. Pull out sofa bed was made up ready for our arrival. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Little disappointed that the pancake machine was broken but this didn't effect my opinion of the hotel. Bar was open for drinks and snacks when we arrived in the evening. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Central hotel providing lovely clean, large room looking onto the High Street. Check-in was a little weird as asked to input my card details and CVC on a laptop. Hoping the card payment system has been upgraded by now! Nice and quiet just a stones throw from Windsor Castle and myriad of shops. Would love it if they can provide secure road bike storage for our next trip. Did not have breakfast due to COVID measures. Many thanks!
It was a comfort to be in an apartment as we were detained for a week due to covid. It was heaven compared to a hotel room and gave us some creature comforts while we bided our time to return home. The pillows were nice. The kitchenette was more than sufficient. The apartment was clean and lovely as a whole. The staff were WONDERFUL.
The superior king room was very spacious, it had everything in that you would need. The bathroom had a bath and shower which not many hotels offer. The view from this room looked out at Windsor castle. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The location is great, everything is within walking distance.
We got the river view. It was beautiful! The hotel is in a stunning location. one side is the river, the other side is Windsor Castle, which you can also see as you step outside the door. The staff are friendly & welcoming. The breakfast/dining room is large and beautiful. Very posh!
Windsor
This small hotel sitting above a pub ticked all the boxes for our family. Newly refurbished room with modern bath. Walking distance to Windsor Castle and many restaurants & shops. 15 minute taxi to Heathrow. Very helpful staff with directions and suggestions. Excellent value for money.
Windsor
Friendly hosts who took us through everything we needed to know, and gave us a few tips for things to do. Top room where we could have a view of Windsor Castle, which was really nice. Lovely choice of breakfast, great service. Car Parking was also an added bonus. (£5 for 24 hours)
The location was excellent, only a few miles from Legoland and Windsor Castle. For us, the flexibility of staying at an apartment was a better option than a hotel when travelling with a toddler. The price was reasonable for the location.
Windsor
If one wish to sence an English pub astmophere one should live here! A small and cozy hotel just across the river from Windsor castle. The staff made tha stay feeling like home and we even got waved good bye from the window!

Alma House is located in a nice neighborhood, a short walk from the main attractions of Windsor. My bedroom was lovely, had a fridge, and a robe. The bathroom was large with clawfoot tub and shower.
Location of hotel is perfect, just down from Eton college and a short walk to Windsor castle. Close to rail stations and transport to Legoland and lots of shops and restaurants.
It was up to date, well kept and clean. With a great variety of food at breakfast and dinner. The hotel is in a great location for Windsor castle and Legoland.
