I made this booking 4 months out and they cancelled it 3 days before my reservation 😳 saying they had failed an inspection and no longer had the room available, then recommended two other local hotels. That same day they offered to upgrade me to a better room for an additional $90 per night … I sent them an email saying as per their first email I had rebooked at another hotel 🏨 they then reinstated my CX booking and tried to charge me for cancelling the booking via your site . After several emails to you BOOKINGS.COM with several attachment of the hotel emails CX my booking , you had the fees removed. So I’m glad I made my booking through your site as you protected me.

This was our second stay here, and we liked it even more the second time!!! Such a great location and charming staff. We plan to make it an annual ritual for the night before a flight out at Heathrow.

It’s a bucket list destination, totally historic, a castle that everyone has seen on TV and that has a different feel to the other historic castles, as it is clearly maintained to be used for state entertainment even if you can’t imagine it as a traditional family home.

We didn't plan to go anywhere else but Windsor really, and booked 3 nights, 2 would have been enough. What we found about Windsor was that everybody was so nice!
Highly recommend the Boatman Pub. Good food, great service and an ideal location sitting by the riverside and views of the castle. Windsor Castle closed on Tues and Weds, so made it quite nice that not packed with people.
Recommend doing the 2hr boat trip (£20 a ticket) where you sail past Windsor Castle and the estate. Great photo opps and houses to look at!

Windsor was agreat experience for my family.
Windsor was agreat experience for my family. The Castle's history was so interesting and there was much to see in the grounds, gardens, St. George's Chapel, changing of the guard etc. This town around the castle is fascinating with its shops and the Alexandra Gardens, lovely walks along the Thames, plenty of places for picnics and all so close together.

Found parking easy but expensive near the centre.
Found parking easy but expensive near the centre. Great shopping centre all easily walkable. Lots of places to eat. Can be very busy & crowded with tourists. Castle & chapel worth a visit. Surrounding area provides some nice walks. Windsor farm shop worth a visit if it's your thing.

Windsor is a great place full of history, great walks by the Thames interesting shops and plenty of places to eat. Cote Brasserie and Gilbeys in Eton being two very good venues and the theatre having plenty of shows during the year.
Very comfortable, cosy dog friendly hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.
I was staying with my daughter in a twin room, but the twin room was 2 double beds.
A nice touch was allowing our dog to come down to breakfast in the bar area, separate from other diners, rather than leaving her in the room.
Good varied options for breakfast.
Very good location for Windsor Castle, The Long Walk and close to the town centre in a quiet road.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming, our room was amazing, so clean and comfortable! The location was perfect, a few mins walk to Windsor castle for the investiture ceremony. Breakfast was one of the best we have experienced and our amazing afternoon tea deserves a special mention!! . All in all Castle hotel was perfect for our stay thank you!!
Wanted somewhere to stay in Windsor with a friend and our 5 year olds - didn’t want to be split up in hotel rooms. Flat was perfect for the kids to spend time together and a great location for Legoland and Windsor Castle. Really clean and quiet. Host was very responsive to messages. We had a lovely break.
We have stayed at this hotel before. It is perfectly situated for visiting Windsor Castle - our reason for the trip. It is a 10 minute walk.
The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with a great shower and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is good - self service.
