Location can’t be beat. The changing of the guard walked right by in front of the hotel. And the early check in meant that we were ready for our vacation fast. The sheets were marvelous.

Lovely town. Bit disappointed with the cleanliness.
Lovely town. Bit disappointed with the cleanliness. You should take better care of the memorials to fallen heroes. A little bit of TLC would go a long way. The lack of businesses not accepting cash is very frustrating. It is legal tender after all and we didn’t want to keep tapping cards as we had cash with us.

Great place to visit, should of stayed a couple of days...
Great place to visit, should of stayed a couple of days longer. The ticket person who was there on the 26th August 2024 in the Eton and Riverside station in Windsor was very helpful with a trip we went to Hampton court and how to get there. Went to Clapham Junction and then on to Suburtion then to Hamption court Station. On the way back from Hampton court we went straight to Clapham Junction then back to Windsor. All bus drivers were also very polite and helpful. The only unpolite staff where in the The Queen Charlotte pub. I brought a couple of drinks for me and my wife and sat outside drinking them. But when my wife went into use the ladies toilet they were very rude to her accusing her of not being a customer. Drinks are also over price in there and I will not recommend the place.
The Two brewers pub also has only one ladies cubical and there is a queue of several ladies always waiting to use the toilet but the pices and drinks in there are okay.
We also went in the wetherspoons pub which was the best for prices and toilet facilities. Oh and the Castle experiance was great. :-)

Found Windsor a perfect location to Visit London ..
Found Windsor a perfect location to Visit London .. We would have preferred to spend longer in Windsor and do day trips to London instead of staying in London .. If you pick the right train , its just a 35 min trip into Paddington, or the same train a little further to places like Covent Gardens. If you don't mind a 1&1/2hr. bus ride to Victoria Station few mins walk to Buckingham Palace cost two pounds against 10 pounds on the train

Well worth a visit, surprisingly lots of shopping opportunities and eateries and the castle is spectacular. The Ivy restaurant for afternoon tea was a real treat, expensive but worth it. Parking is expensive, use the train if day tripping or hotel with parking included as we did.

Windsor is small and pretty be warned the castle is the main thing to do and it’s closed Tuesday & Wednesday which we didn’t know so didn’t get to see it. The boat trips are ok not very exciting but relaxing restaurants are great lots of pubs and plenty of shops. But the castle is the only tourist site really
Hotel was excellent, the property looked liked it had been recently decorated as paint looked fresh, decor was modern and clean. The property was in the perfect location between Lego land and Windsor castle, both places we visited during our stay. Is within walking distance to the castle and main Windsor centre. Taxis are easy to get and come within a few minutes. Would highly recommend
The level of help, care and support provided by Rachael on reception was quite exceptional. We were visiting Windsor to attend an Investiture at the Castle. The help, care and support provided by Rachael made a very special occasion all the more memorable. Thank you Rachael; you are an excellent ambassador for the Castle Hotel, Windsor.
The room and bathroom were spacious and nicely presented. There was undercover parking available at a cost and needs to be reserved. The hotel is in a very handy location across the road from Windsor castle and easy walk to shops and Thames.
Had an overnight stay so we could visit Windsor Castle. Hotel could not be better positioned on the Thames with breakfast watching the swans and Canada geese.
