Property info

Dolifor is a 17th Century former farmhouse located in the glorious scenery of the Elan Valley, near Rhayader, in rural mid-Wales. The Loft is our self-catering first floor, open plan studio apartment for two, built over what used to be the old coach house. It has independent access via a stone staircase (not suitable for small children) and has a private parking space. Four Poster Bed, Fully Equiped Kitchen, Lounge with TV. Use of washing machine on request. An ironing board and iron are available in the Loft .

Neighborhood info

Our own unmade track is accessed off a local lane, so is very peaceful and enjoys far ranging views. Rhayader, with a range of local shops and cafes, is a 5 minute drive away. Those who stay with us can walk through the many local woods and take time to observe the various birds native to the area. The Elan valley area is a protected environment for the diversity of fauna and flora that thrive within it. There is much to explore in the area of the lakes of the Elan Valley and the Cambrian Mountains from the front door. The Elan Valley Trail itself starts a kilometre away giving The Rhayader Loop 18 miles of track and road to walk or cycle. The rivers Wye and Elan are both within close walking distance below the house. The source of the river Wye and the Severn lay just a few miles to the North of Dolifor.
