We’ve stayed here before, it’s a lovely property in an ideal location, surrounded by Snowdonia National Park and close to Barmouth etc. The inclusive breakfast was fantastic, they use great produce and there’s plenty on offer.
Room 310 was brilliant for our group of 6, there was plenty of room and storage, and the modern bathroom was as one would expect.

Beautiful little slate roofed town.
Beautiful little slate roofed town. Has a lot of places to eat and drink, also around the area. Sitting on the Mawddach estuary with a lot the prettiest hikes in Wales in my opinion. It’s a ramblers paradise in the area, but you can also do a lot of mountainbiking around the coed y brenin area (a stones throw away).

A pleasant small town with access to much of the beauty of North Wales as well as Barmouth, Aberystwyth and other coastal locations. Dolgellau has a collection of pubs and restaurants as well as a bank and reasonable variety of shops. There are several hotels and other accommodation. Our choice of the Royal Ship proved to be a good one. Parking could be a problem in high season but there is an extensive public car park just five minute walk from the town centre.

Beautiful and peaceful, with lovely scenery.
Beautiful and peaceful, with lovely scenery. Only 20 minutes from the beach. Other close by activities included horse riding/pony trekking which was fantastic. It has a picturesque little town with everything you need. Including a cute Pub (there are others but we only visited one). Only 1 hour away from the Llanberis trail of Snowdon.

I was only there for a few days and Dolgellau is a beautiful little place with everything that you need. I have stayed in the centre before but was staying just outside this time but I find it useful as they have plenty of eateries if you want or there is a couple of "Spar" supermarkets to enable you to get your snacks for the day.

Dolgellau is a lovely, pretty, friendly Welsh town.
Dolgellau is a lovely, pretty, friendly Welsh town. Set in a backdrop of mountains. Lots walking to do. Great pubs, restaurants and cafes. You can walk along the Afon Mawddach Estuary to Barmouth. The Alzheimers Society chose this area to stage Trek 26. I definitely recommend this Trek too.

Very spacious. Beautifully clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed. Good quality bed Linen and beds v comfy and lovely fluffy towels . Helpful host with great communication. Dolgellau is a gorgeous place with lots of great places to eat and friendly pubs with live music and a good vibe. Nearby walks are stunning - the walk to barmouth is perfect .. and bus back is easy to catch . Only reason not a 10/10 is no outside space or garden but plenty of outside options in the village and beyond !
It was a great Bed & Breakfast lodge. The owners Chris and Louise were very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area. Provided some amazing tips on where we could visit as we were in the North of Wales to do a lot of hiking. The room was had was very spacious and had a very comfortable bed. Provided great Breakfast for the week we stayed with them. We cannot wait to visit North Wales again and stay with them.
Everything. Was made to feel welcome as soon as we went through the door. Pot of tea and Welsh cake on arrival was a lovely touch.Caroline and Kevin were so friendly . Breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice and cooked fresh. Ideal place to stay for seeing different parts of North Wales.
Beautiful traditional hotel with beautiful hosts, so friendly and welcoming. Room was so lovely and cozy . Great good quality breakfast in a gorgeous traditional breakfast room. Free parking was a plus and close to nice pubs with good food. Close to good walks.
