Welcome to Haywood Cottage. Having lived in and around East Lothian for over 30 years I am excited that you are interested in visiting this wonderful part of the world. Having travelled extensively myself I like to think that I know what is key to ensuring that you have a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Haywood Cottage has the best of both worlds. It is rural enough to allow you to fully switch off if you want but also with good travel links from Dunbar and beyond to enable you to enjoy the coastline, hills and culture that Scotland has to offer.
Visit the small village of Stention In the East Lothian county of Scotland. Just a 45-minute car drive from Edinburgh, Stenton is an idyllic village of less than 100 inhabitants. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The town of Dunbar is only a 10-minute drive away and has many attractions, such as several golf courses, the sandy Dunbar beach and East Links Family Park, complete with animal enclosures, train rides, go-karts, bouncy castles and trampolines, perfect for a day out with the kids.
