Company info

Sam and I moved into Walkers Cottage and took over the small holding in 2021. Once we learnt how to look after the acquired sheep, chickens and bees that came with the property, we set about planning and building what we hope is a unique and deeply comfortable glamping experience for our future guests. We initially chose this area because of our love of canoeing, swimming and general outdoor living. Plus my love of buying too many books! We have been blown away by the friendliness of the locals and the endless spectacular views. We hope you fall in love with Hay on Wye and surrounding villages just as we did.

Situated just a couple of miles from the charming town of Hay on Wye and a short drive from the Brecon Beacons National Park, Heart of the Wye offers a unique glamping experience in a beautiful and convenient rural location. With 5 comfortable and stylish Nomadic Yurt tents, it is the perfect spot to relax, unwind and recharge. Whether you come with family, friends or for a romantic retreat, to walk, cycle, canoe, or to read a book by a campfire as the sun sets, there is something special for everyone. Each yurt has access to a shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. The tents sleep 2 adults comfortably, with the option of 2 additional single fold out camping style beds to accommodate 4 in total.

Neighborhood info

Clifford is a small village on the border of England and Wales. Hay on Wye (famous for its book shops and literary festivals) is just 3 miles away. There are lots of amazing walks, river activity centres, shops, and even a couple of world famous festivals in the area (May-June). Mostly people love the warmth of the locals, the creative yet peaceful vibe, and the books!
