Loch Shiel Hotel
Main Street, Acharacle, PH36 4JL, United Kingdom – Great location - show map
It's an attractive house in a beautiful location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a nice atmosphere. We had a tasty meal in the restaurant.

Lovely and helpful staff! Great value for money, and a clean and spacious room.

Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Good position including garden with a fine outlook over Loch Shiel where you can eat and drink.

Meal in the evening was first class. Breakfast very good Room very nice with comfortable bed.

We really loved the food- which we had Cullen skink and mussels. So fresh, as well as breakfast. beautiful spot near a little Loch and beer garden. perfect stay and would come back again.

Stunning location with fantastic views towards Loch Shiel and hills beyond. The hotel makes a superb base to explore the beautiful Ardnamurchan Peninsula, and even get onto Islay with the short ferry not too far away. The hotel has proper, old-style charm. Fantastic breakfast, large comfortable rooms with super-king bed. The top floor is a bit of a hike, but worth it for the fantastic views. I'm sure the staff would assist with bags if you are struggling. Beautiful breakfast room especially, but bar and dining room v pleasant too. Friendly, amenable staff. Quiet, cul-de-sac lane to the loch right by the side of the hotel makes a pleasant stroll where dogs can be relatively safely let off the lead.

perfectly located, Great restaurant, active bar with pool and dart

This is a marvelous, old-style hotel. It just has a really nice feel, with warm and friendly, helpful staff. It is quite a trek up to the top floor if you have a lot of bags, but not a problem for us. We stayed in 2 different rooms, both of which were a decent size and well facilitated The hotel was pretty accommodating for our 2 dogs who were allowed to be with us for supper, but not for breakfast, which, by the way, was superb in their v nice dining room. (So the dogs stayed in the car, which was OK.) There is a small surcharge for the dogs. The gardens are v pleasant with superb views towards Loch Shiel. There is also a v quiet road down the side to the picturesque loch where the dogs can run with v little risk from cars; a v pleasant road for a morning or evening stroll. I would certainly be very happy to come back again: A lovely hotel in a lovely location.

Attentive and friendly staff, excellent restaurant and flexibility in dealing with our electric car

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Hector fixed the tell and allowed us to freeze water packs Great food both dinner and breakfast.
