The property was well laid out and everything we needed provided, soaps, towels, washing up liquid tea towels etc., also a selection of tea and coffee and capsules for the coffee machine on site. There is a Co-op within walking distance also where we got a selection of freshly baked croissants. The parking permits were excellent.

Property information

Situated in Southsea, Morley Cottage is a beautifully refurbished, spacious 3 bedroom house. Close to the seafront and to the Southsea shopping and nightlife, the accommodation is perfectly situated to provide easy access to all that Portsmouth and Southsea has to offer while still affording a quiet but traditionally Southsea setting. With wifi, lots of extra comforts and free on-street parking, Morley Cottage is a great place to stay whether you are visiting for work or pleasure. By completing the reservation you agree to the following: I agree to be bound by your rental terms and conditions. I acknowledge that I will be required to provide a copy of a valid government issued ID and matching credit card prior to check in. I acknowledge that I may be required to undergo a background check if mandated by the property management company or the building, as stated in accordance by my rental agreement and condition of the booking.

Neighbourhood information

Situated in a traditional, quiet Victorian terraced street just off Highland Road, the property’s location is excellent with plenty of free on street parking. However, its just 5 mins walk to Southsea beach and 15 mins walk to South Parade Pier and Canoe Lake which is a great area if you have kids with you. It’s only 15 mins walk to the bustling Albert Road with its vast selection of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, an eclectic mix of boutique shops and the beautiful Kings Theatre and the Westwood Rooms (live music venue). Just a 15 min drive or taxi ride gets you to the Historic Dockyard where you can see the Mary Rose, HMS Victory and HMS Warrior plus a host of other exhibitions and to Gunwharf Quays for outlet shopping, plus more restaurants and bars and a cinema. Also in close proximity, is the Pyramids Centre Swimming Pool and Gym, Southsea Castle, D-Day Museum, Royal Marines Museum, Natural History Museum, Blue Reef Aquarium, Clarence Pier (amusement park), Southsea Common and the Skate Park. Morley Cottage provides a lovely, bright and airy feel that would suit families and groups of business travellers alike, as well as smaller groups who just want a bit more space.
