    “About two mins walk got us to either the main street with shops or the harbour and its array of mini shops in huts and restaurants/bars. A `corner shop` was just a few yards away. Always easy parking right outside.”

Avocet Cottage is a cosy property with 3 upstairs bedrooms. The sitting room has comfy sofas and an open hearth with log burning stove. Outside we have a private enclosed courtyard with a table and 6 chairs. A true suntrap! We can accommodate 6 guests however please note we do only have 1 Bathroom upstairs. There is no additional downstairs toilet and the property does not have a bath, only a shower. We feel the property is more suited to 4 guests if all adults but we do still welcome 6 of course. Beds are luxury zip & link and on request can be changed to singles or double to suit. Our standard configuration is 1 Super King Size, 2 Singles and 1 BunkBed so if you require this to be changed, please let us know in advance. We also have a travel cot available however do not provide bedding for this. The sheltered sun-trap courtyard is spacious with table & 6 chairs and a BBQ provided for guest use.
We have enjoyed many trips to Amble and love our unique cosy cottage. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do. We have 2 cocker spaniels and they love the beaches and walks that Amble has to offer. We are happy for you to bring up to 2 dogs however we ask that they are not permitted to go upstairs. There is a gate available at the bottom of the stairs.
Just a stone's throw from all the highlights of Amble, Avocet Cottage is located in the residential Harbour area of Amble, and walkable to the beach and all the restaurants that Amble has to offer. The perfect base for exploring Northumberland with friends and family. Amble is a quirky, vibrant seaside town with some fantastic restaurants. Everything you could need just a couple of minutes walk from the front door. Parking is on street and we have never had an issue getting a space outside the front of the property.
