EVERYTHING! The accommodations were adorable! Max was incredibly helpful! We had just moved to the UK and were jet lagged etc. We had no transportation. Max supplied breakfast goodies, coffee and tea to help us get settled. He even gave us a lift...

Think luxury, think quaint. My self contained cottage is set in the mature grounds of the listed 1759 Oak-Island Hall, in the heart of Brampton village, close to Cambridge. We have two cottages, Walnut and Acorn. Each cottage is allocated randomly, if you have a preference please view our website and make contact before booking. They are both finished to a high standard and exquisitely furnished . For your convenience both have kitchenettes suitable for light meals or warming up. We do not encourage cooking substantial Sunday or Christmas Dinners ! Outside is a fire pit should you decide to eat alfresco and enjoy the views over the mature garden and woodland. The bathroom is a marbled wet room, thick white fluffy towels and toiletries. The Kingsize Staples Grandeur premium bed and 500 thread cotton sheets will guarantee you the perfect nights sleep in peaceful surroundings I have drawn upon my travel experiences around the world to offer you the comfort afforded by the best hotels for a fraction of the price here in Brampton. My guests comment that you'll not be boxed into a corporate hotel room, there is a totally private garden and if you want to prepare a light meal or a snack the facilities are there rather than the limitations and expense of a chain hotel. My intention is that you leave feeling revitalised and reinvigourated having had the perfect stay.
I have a love of life that I hope is apparent in the passion and enthusiasm that I have put into the cottage for your stay. You will find that nothing is to much trouble. I love life, enjoy people and a glass of wine too should you be feeling sociable during your stay !. I know the area well and do evertything to support its growth and wellbeing by ensuring any recommendations are well tried and tested !
Brampton is a walkable distance to the busier market town of Huntingdon which is served by a main line train station. It is a vibrant village that is said to contain “everything a person could need without leaving the village”. It has a superb garden centre , Post Office, Butchers, large Co-op store, takeaways, a fabulous tea room and two buoyant pubs. It also has a popular Racecourse, and an established Golf course that together bring many thousands of visitor’s a year from far and wide to the village. The village was the home of Samual Pepes and has historic ties with the Cromwell family. Within Brampton’s boundaries lie Portholme meadow, the largest of its type in the UK. Also Brampton Wood is a popular woodland haven of great antiquity. A short cycle ride or walk, west of the village, leads to Grafham Water. Famous for its cycle paths, sailing club and trout fishing and bird watching. The Three Shires way therein leads to 37 miles of walking, cycling and ancient trackways. The village is well served by a local bus route to Huntingdon and Cambridge. Its juxtaposition with the A1 and A14 make it very accessible by road. It is under an hour by train from London.
