I have always had a passion for the great outdoors and this small area of Scotland is a well kept secret. I love the ability to pack the rucksack and within 40 mins be hiking high up on the grouse moors with views out over the sea . When the snows arrive an hours drive you can be sitting on a chairlift at Glenshee anticipating the thrill of skiing across the Cairngorm National Park. As I mentioned I am a lover of the great outdoors I am happiest out on the mountains , either walking or skiing. I enjoy horse riding and love experiencing and observing the local wildlife on horseback . Mornings hacking out early' looking over to the Cairngorm Mountains watching the geese and Swans flying overhead in the Autumn is truly a special . Here at Greenden you can be lucky to spot deer, often red squirrel and of course if you are really lucky birds of prey and woodpeckers ..The vast skylines and amazing sunsets and star gazing at night make this a special place to live. I started my career as an optometrist and at a young age set up my own independent practice in the wonderful market Town of Forfar it was an amazing experience but my dream was to create a small boutique holiday enterprise . I wanted to highlight the amazing locations this County has in abundance to encourage people from all over the UK and worldwide to venture here and explore. I sold my optometry practice and slowly established Greenden Holiday lets with the help of European funding and a great belief that people would discover, experience and wish to return and this is the story .
