The history of the place, the building itself and superb location in the forest. Rustic harm of the property and all wooden encrustations and carving are simply amazing. Food was very good at the local restaurant plus a moderate selection of good whiskies . Cozy fireplace was lit during the evening. Great staff!

The property was very clean. Location excellent. The kitchen was well stocked with pans for cooking. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were complimentary. Rooms comfortable and bathrooms clean. Dan, the owner, was interesting and enjoyable to talk with.

This former church has been tastefully converted, enabling retention of the original features. Auld Kirk B&B is located in the heart of picturesque Royal Deeside.

A unique place, that was very clean, had the friendliest owners and staff, and a very delicious breakfast. A real find and we felt lucky to find it!

This was a beautiful B and B right in the town of Ballater, just a short drive to Bamoral and Braemar castles. Our room was so nice - comfortable, well appointed, with lovely decor. It was spotless. I would say the nicest place we have stayed in our 2 weeks in Scotland.
