Pilkingtons guest house has been awarded 8+ ratings for the past 10 years. We are situated next to the railway station on the main road into Accrington. A family run guest house for over 50 years. The property is a large terrace house with a friendly welcoming. We have modern decorated rooms with a clean, fresh feel. Complimentary breakfast bags provided. Frèe wifi in all rooms and flat screen TVs. Free parking at the rear of the property. A local gym opens from 6am to 10pm is just walking distance. Local restaurants and lots of fast food outlets to choose from for your evening meal. The local cinema is also walking distance. Accrington Stanley football ground is 10mins walk away. 2 supermarkets and a pharmacy nearby.
Accrington is famous for its football team and it's nori bricks. We have lots of interesting attractions such as howarth art gallery, oswaldtwistle mills, Leeds to liverpool canel We have 2 sky slopes nearby in Rossendale and Pendle. Ribble valley is just a short drive away, you can visit the castle and is very popular with the cyclists. Manchester is 20 mins drive away to visit the theatre, plenty of shopping and the indoor sky slope chillfactor next to the trafford centre. A local cinema. We are 10 mins away from Blackburn and Burnley. Accrington market is open on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. We also have 4 local parks gatty park, oak hill park, millshaw park and the coppice. The local running track is at wilsons playing fields were the famous Ron hill trained with Accrington road runners. Accrington was a textile town with Victorian buildings. One of the local textile owners still is involved with oswaldtwistle mills today.
