Spacious, Sunny Double Bedroom in Home Stay Quirky Cottage, Near Holmfirth, hotel in Holmfirth

Situated just 35 km from Clayton Hall Museum, Spacious, Sunny Double Bedroom in Home Stay Quirky Cottage, Near Holmfirth features accommodation in Holmfirth with access to a garden, a shared lounge,...

Me and my daughter traveled to Holmfirth to meet my daughters friend. We had a beautiful weekend and really enjoyed staying with Deborah at her lovely, full of character cottage. She was very welcoming and even allowed my daughters friend to stay with her for few hours in her accommodation as there was not only the room but also a lovely lounge we could use. She even prepared some drinks for them while they were together ;) The room we stayed in was a good size and very cute, had all we needed for our short stay. Its situated off the main road in a quiet hamlet with beautiful views and feels very peaceful. It takes about 45 minutes walking to get to Holmfirth but its a lovely walk, mostly through countryside. My daughter and her friend took Uber the last day to meet me in the village as it rained and it only cost them about 6 pounds.

Nine Cooper Lane, Holmfirth, hotel in Holmfirth

Situated in Holmfirth and only 22 km from Victoria Theatre, Nine Cooper Lane, Holmfirth features accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Gorgeous cottage, well equipped with very good quality fixtures and fittings. Really thoughtful touches throughout the cottage. Five minutes walk from the high street, where several restaurants and pubs situated and independent shops/cafes. Great communication from owners for accessing the property, with easy parking. The steep hill to property was fine for us, but slightly longer routes via a small park that opens up halfway up Coopers Lane does make the walk up easier. Definitely would use this place again if we were to return to the absolutely beautiful and very friendly Holmfirth.

Second time visiting and it's just such an idealic location! Love it! Definitely helped having a (working) car, however not necessary with the amount of walks in the area! To go out and eat we HIGHLY recommend Lou & Joe's Burgers and Harvey's! Fantastic range of gluten free options in all local restaurants, everyone is so friendly and accommodating

A great example of a northern mill town but not the main reason for visiting this picturesque Yorkshire town. Famed for the BBC show "Last of the Summer Wine", it's a mecca for anyone who's funny bone has been tickled by this warm comedy from the 70's through to the early part of the 2000's. Modern hostelries abound, some great exhibitions, cafes and pubs used extensively in the TV series all combined with the beauty of the Yorkshire landscape featured throughout the escapades of the characters of the show. We'll be back in the summer to further explore the scenic beauty and further enjoy the views these three old men brought to life on our TV screens.

Holmfirth is a great place to visit.

Holmfirth is a great place to visit. Home of “Last of the summer wine” of course but also a great venue to visit is The Picturedrome for a Northern Soul music gig which was fantastic. Some lovely bars and eateries plus some quirky shops as well. Defo a place to visit for the weekend.

The owner Andrea was very friendly and helpful with a good sense of humor. She left a personalised booklet giving advice on local places that were good and those that were not so. The cottage was really nice and clean and full of character with quirky-shaped rooms and corridors. We came down to see bands that were playing at the Picturedome, which was an easy 2-minute walk, as were a number of restaurants for after. We will no doubt be coming back once more bands we like come play Holmfirth.

The cottage was beautiful. It was well equipped with absolutely everything you could ever need. The cottage was homely and very comfortable, decorated and furnished to a very high standard. We walked into Holmfirth and it took about 20 minutes ( we got a taxi back...£4) We had to contact the owner about a small issue, but this was handled with urgency and went above and beyond to sort. A lovely stay was had by all, and we would all definitely like to come back again. Highly recommended.

Very clean and comfortable room, although the bathroom was rather compact. Great location in picturesque town centre with very nice atmosphere, whilst the staff were also very friendly . Restaurant had a varied menu and food was good. Equally there was a broad breakfast menu (included in price) from continental to full English, with a variety of options between the two.

Hosts were great and Kate even drove us down to Holmfirth to get dinner as we arrived late after being stuck in traffic. Place was nice and quiet and bedroom not too hot so was able to sleep. (most hotels are too hot and often with traffic noise) Nice to have bread, butter, milk and marmalade provided for our breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay.
