Oldhurst benefits from “Johnsons farm “with its diverse animals including crocodiles .Tea rooms with children’s play areas and a prestigious butchers .All only several hundred yards walk away . Historic Ely is approx 15 miles with its Cathedral restaurants ,bars and shops .There are also boats for hire on the river . Cambridge city approx 20 miles or alternatively you can take the guided buss from st ives into Cambridge city Centre to view its historic architecture or go punting on the river .Cambridge also has many bars (riverside) restaurants ,theaters and shopping centers
