Welcome to my holiday home! I hope you enjoy staying here as much as I and my family have done. Sandpiper is a tranquil self-catering cottage on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. With a double and 2 full size single beds, Sandpiper is perfectly spacious for 4 adults or families wanting a calming holiday close to nature. Guests of Sandpiper also enjoy 10% off at the beautiful gift shop, Edie Pebble, in Amble (check out their website or social media page). Wildlife abound, guests can walk, cycle and explore from the doorstop, and be absorbed by the wonder of the dark sky (Europe's largest certified Dark Sky Park). Sandpiper is one of a small number of cottages that have been beautifully renovated from a 19th Century stone built farm steading. Many of the original features have remained thanks to the sympathetic conversion.

I really hope you enjoy your stay at Sandpiper. It's the perfect location to get away from it all. I and my family love to come here. Just the drive through the amazing countryside melts away the stresses and tensions from everyday life. There's plenty to do if you want to but also lovely, cosy and warm to just relax in. I don't live on site so you'll have the privacy to check in/out and come and go as you please.

Sandpiper is in a rural setting and therefore a tranquil location to get back to nature. Glorious views and walks from the doorstep. The cottage is also a great base to explore the wider region, with the Dark Skies, Northumberland National Park, Cragside House, Alnwick, Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne/Holy Island and Amble all within easy reach by car. Sandpiper is in a very remote setting, so it's advisable to bring food provisions with you. There is a local petrol station and Spar 5 minutes drive away and Rothbury has a few shops, but you may want to do a bigger food shop in Alnwick or Morpeth before you arrive.
