The staff were excellent. Very friendly and also flexible (we arrived early, but still got to check in regardless). The room was lovely, very clean and bright and also had a bath (which is great when you have walked about 13 miles up the coastal path). The garden at the front was a lovely spot to have a cold beer. Finally, the breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

Bamburgh is a lovely little town, with three pubs, a restaurant and a coffee shop. There is also a small shop and a butchers, but during the 3 day bank holiday weekend when we visited neither appeared to be open.
The nearest small supermarket is the co-op in Seahouses (3 miles), but unless you are prepared to pay for parking be prepared for a short walk to it. If you are driving in via Alnwick it may be best to stop for supplies here before heading to Bamburgh.
Bamburgh castle is worth a visit, and if you have young children the warrior training session was lots of fun and well worth the £3 per child cost.

The Copper Kettle cafe in Bamburgh serves a great lunch at a reasonable price. It’s easy to take the bus up or down the coast and walk back along the coast path. Dunstanburgh and Warkworth Castles preferable to Bamburgh in my opinion (though they don’t have so much for kids).

Bamburgh is a lovely small town.
Bamburgh is a lovely small town. Quite quaint and picturesque.
It is within easy reach of a host of things to do and see.
We went to Lindisfarne and its unique castle which we really enjoyed.
The Puffin Boat trip from Seahouses was amazing. We'll worth the expense.
On our walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle we watched a large pod of dolphins close to the shore. Beautiful and very evocative.
Alnmouth has a really lovely beach and lots of interesting shops and eateries. We loved Northumberland.

Bamburgh is charming.
Bamburgh is charming. The castle dominates and the setting is dramatic. There is a butcher near the hotel who sells pies etc and a restaurant which specialises in seafood albeit at a price. Parking is easy and it's nice to be able to walk to such a pleasant beach even when it's windy and unseasonally cool.

Dominated by the castle, Bamburgh is a lovely piece of Northern English history. The church is hugely historic and well worth a visit, as well as the Grace Darling museum. Good restaurants and pubs and a beach with a view to die for round off the offer - amazing to think all that is packed into a small town.
A beautiful well laid out property with everything you need to feel at home. The en-suite in every bedroom was just perfect. The beds were very comfortable and the linen was gorgeous. Well situated in a beautiful rural village just outside Bamburgh.
The locations of the hotel in Bamburgh village is excellent
Our room was clean and comfortable
The staff were friendly and helpful
The food we had (breakfast and dinner) was plentiful, home cooked and very good
Lovely hotel. Historic building but quite contemporary elegant styling. We had room 33 that has a direct view of Bamburgh Castle. Good restaurant and wine list
