Hotel in Bamburgh
In the heart of historical Bamburgh, The Victoria Hotel features a brasserie restaurant and free Wi-Fi. Another marvellous visit to my favourite hotel. The combination of a superior hotel infrastructure with excellent customer service and value for money is excellent. Add in the fabulous coastal location, amazing heritage and super-friendly locals - and the whole package is compelling. I was hiking the coast with my dog but there are so many other amazing days out to be had from here e.g. Lindisfarne (Holy Island), Berwick, Alnmouth, Seahouses, Alnwick (with best second hand bookshop ever), Farne islands and any number of wonderful country pubs to explore.

A great place for history of our country. The castle was exceptional, plenty to see and volunteers willing to go the extra mile when chatting about its history. The church is also a special place to see and explore. Plenty of eating places and the village is clean and well loved.
everything at the hotel is great. fantastic staff very helpful. my room was a very good size and the bed very comfortable. only downside was too many dogs in the bar area which is no good if you have a allergy.
The chocolates, wine and welcome card from the owners was a lovely surprise. Couldn't fault it (the parking issue which was caused by a neighbour). I will definitely stay there again. We had a fabulous and memorable stay.
Lovely Victoria hotel plus two others and holiday homes ., perfect castle with amazing setting . Easy access to Holy Island and Seahouses. plenty of local shops incuding butchers ,bakers , post office and sausage roll makers. Next time will try and plan ahead to eat at The Potted Lobster.
Bamburgh has a stunning beach with miles and miles of golden sand, dramatic views across to Farne Islands and with the backdrop of the Castle. We stayed at the Sunningdale Hotel with our dog. We could not fault the service or facilities. The food was outstanding and we ate in the restaurant every night. We drove to Craster and walked across the coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle, a National Trust property. Amazing walk and views and easy for all ages. We will be back.
Bamburgh is a place I have visited many times over the years, it is a wonderful place if you like huge, clean beaches, wild open spaces and not much in the way of ‘amusement arcades’ etc Bamburgh is a small place dominated everywhere you look by the magnificent castle which sits right on the sands. There are a few cafes, and a couple of pubs, but generally it is pretty ‘low key’ and that is the way I hope it will stay. Unfortunately many people have discovered it now and I am sure in the holiday season it will get very busy. I much prefer to go in the winter/early spring where you can get lots of invigorating walks along the beach. The beach is dog friendly.

Lovely hotel in a good location for everything we wanted to do in Bamburgh. We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The room was a little snug for 3 of us but we were OK and it seemed to have been newly decorated. We had a view of the castle and across the fields from our window which was beautiful. Breakfast was great and a good choice of options. Very friendly staff as well.

Goldenhill retreats is absolutely lovely! The room and facilities are stylish, finished to a good standard and are very clean! It is a very calm and peaceful place to stay. Bamburgh and seahouses are only a short drive away and are also in walkin distance. Overall we had a lovely time and will definitely stay here again. Would highly recommend 😊 thankyou for making us feel so welcome! ❤️
Our room - we ended up having the best room in the hotel. Top floor room within full view of bamburgh castle, it was stunning. We ate at the hotel and the food was delicious both breakfast and evening meal. The waiting staff - Lisa (supervisor), Macaulay and Kieran were wonderful, very attentive without being intrusive. Will definitely be back.

Bamburgh under canvas was a delightful and a well located escape from the businesses of daily life. The views were spectacular and the Yurt was well thought thru with some little luxuries to enhance the holiday. Loved that we had a hot shower with complementary soap. We would definitely recommend Bamburgh under the canvas!
