I had a single room, but a double bed could easily have fitted, the room was clean, warm, and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff were really attentive. I decided to stay an extra night and kept the same room.

We had a bedroom and a sitting room/ sun room. The hotel was immaculate, with a tub and shower. Our room had a separate entry. We arrived later than 8 pm. However the gentleman at the reception desk checked me in…. Even though he was off shift. David showed me how to work everything in the room. Later we joined other guest for a calm evening in the bar.

Beautiful and historic manor house in the prime spot on the island, I would say! Everything was very smart, clean and the room was elegantly furnished and felt like a beautiful step Back in time.

This is a lovely hotel with a long history. We had a huge room with a very comfortable bed. It was spotlessly clean. The staff were excellent, very friendly and welcoming. An excellent, cosy bar and also a huge beer garden at the back of the property. Overall, the food was good and breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.

Standouts were: Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Crag Side,...

Standouts were: Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Crag Side, Vindolanda and Hadrian's Wall (although a schlep from this location), Beaches, Lindisfarne, Aidan's church, Grace Darling Museum, Landscape. Farne Islands boat trip (but not after June/July -no Puffins...). Good local Restaurants (Potted Lobster/ Lord Crewe- and The White Swan (excellent) a little further out. Plenty to enjoy and see within a week in September. Walk along the Coastal Path from the cottage to Bamburgh (5k) was quite superb.

i like Bamburgh very much because of its historic location, allied with access to gloriously quiet and beautiful beaches, to both the north and south..A lovely base for outdoor activities, with a rich heritage.

Very quiet, beautiful spot.

Very quiet, beautiful spot. Gorgeous unspoilt beaches of white sand. Sea too rough to swim - no lifeguards, but stunning! Fascinating free museum about Grace Darling - legend! Local people super friendly! Would love to live there! Beach not very accessible if disabled! Very good place to clear head and give space to think if you are working! Came back renewed with great ideas!

The castle is awesome.

The castle is awesome. Beaches are so clean with clear water suitable for families. Places to eat are excellent - The Lord Crewe, The Middle Hotel and the butchers pies and sandwiches are exceptional. Visit the little hut on the Wyndings car park for great seafood and paella. The shops have a good selection of souvenir's which are good quality. A great place to visit.

A lovely little town, so dog friendly too? Beautiful beach to relax on and a fantastic castle to visit. There are many more lovely beaches and towns to visit along the coast too. An ideal area for a stay cation?

Lovely small village with decent facilities, including...

Lovely small village with decent facilities, including public toilets, essential for casual visitors. A visit to the castle is a must for newcomers and the Grace Darling museum gives a good insight to one of the legends of the area. A walk, or drive down the "wynds" to either of the unsurfaced free carparks gives fairly easy access the the super beach and super views of the castle setting.

Although access is by a single track road there are passing places, although we never encountered anyone during our stay, and the property is very conveniently situated for Bamburgh and other local attractions. The property was cosy, we did not need to use the electric fire, and comfortable enough

Warm welcome at the Victoria hotel. Clean and tidy room, not super modern but comfortable bed with clean bathroom. Had a great stay here exploring Bamburgh and its location is brilliant. The bar downstairs is great too and the breakfast was exceptional.

The location is beautiful. I had a good view on Bamburgh Castle from my window, only a 5 minute walk. The hotel has a restaurant with good dishes so no need to look for anywhere else to eat,
