The kitchen had a lovely homely feel.
Location for us was fine. quite close to where we were visiting family.
Plenty of shops quite close too, if I was staying longer in the area

Places around Bridgend are stunning: Ogmore, Southerndown and Porthcawl to name but a few. Shopping at Sarn is excellent. Bridgend Town sadly lacks funding but it’s still an ok town for essentials.
Newbridge fields are beautiful - lots of sports are played there at weekends too.
Not far from Neath falls, there Big Pit, The Mumbles - all worth while places!

Ewenny guest house is not in the town of Bridgend but in...
Ewenny guest house is not in the town of Bridgend but in Ewenny, surrounded by countryside and woods, on the road to the coast. There are a couple of pubs about 5 minutes drive away for evening meals. It is a five minute drive to Ogmore , which is on the sea and the coastline there is a heritage coastline, with beautiful walks and cliffs and woods.
Bridgend is a small town, it has supermarkets, shops and restaurants, but we did not spend time in the town, only in the countryside around.

I only use Bridgend as a stopover as I could not find reasonably priced room in Cardiff that was in a safe area for a woman travelling alone. There was a big football match and concert on in Cardiff that Tuesday night and that is why I booked further afield as there was very little choice in my price range available.

Old Manor House with an old-fashioned touch, a bit out of times but comfortable, clean and with refurbished bath rooms.
We we arrived there was a school graduation party we had not been made aware of. Fortunately it finished at 10 pm, so did not bother us in the end.
Very good Indian restaurant. Very good breakfast.
Easy check in friendly staff, really nice room, clean, looked like a new bathroom and actually had a bath which was a bonus, the evening meal was really good, hot and tasted freshly cooked, I had the 3 plates deal, all good. Right in the town centre so easy to visit other pubs or walk round, there's a lovely micropub just on the stone bridge over the river and sitting outside was very pleasant.
There is so much to see in the hotel itself. A fantastic building with architectural oddities all over the place. Staff were tremendous and the rooms were very well presented with a nice mix of traditional and modern decor. I'd imagine the garden would be lovely on a sunny evening (which we didnt get..)
Breakfast was good and the staff serving it was happy to deal with any requests.
Lovely little cottage near Bridgend. The property is wonderfully finished to a really good specification. Had a warm, cosy feel about the property with internal stonework, log fire and ceiling beams. We booked for Easter weekend and arrived to Easter cakes which was a nice touch by the host. We would 100% recommend the property, and will certainly be returning in the future.
Nicely furnished bar area and garden which captures the sun. Room was spacious and so was the bathroom. Nice to have decent sized towels and dressing gowns. The location is convenient for Bridgend , Ogmore and Porthcawl. The food for dinner was great and worth staying in the hotel on its own. Felt the hotel was good value for money because of all these positives.
Days Inn has a 'certain' reputation for being cheap and maybe not so cheerful. I found the hotel and my room more than passable. A couple of points, a stain on the carpet and a water mark on the curtains. No idea why that was the case, perhaps the window leaks, or perhaps it's been badly washed/dried, but as it was dry when I stayed I couldn't hazard a guess.
The hotel was very comfortable with friendly staff and nice rooms. Everything was very clean and tidy and the rooms had great water pressure which can often be a problem in these older buildings. The breakfast was good and the staff were willing to be flexible which is always great at breakfast! We would come again if in the area.
Everything about this hotel is fantastic the owner is lovely he can't do enough for you ,he's welcoming shows you to your room shows how Everything works ,breakfast is amazing, this is second time we stayed here and will always use this hotel when coming to bridgend
The guest house was lovely for our short stay. There were nice touches in the spacious room like a fridge & microwave, tea & coffee making facilities which was great. Tony was very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be staying again when we are back in Wales.
Room was close to exit, good choice on menu.
Had everything I required in the room
Brought friends over for drinks & evening meal here
Comfortable soft beds
Nice room tea & coffee facilities.
Was not expensive compared to other hotels in area for short stay.
Everything, location was brilliant, the apartment was private and had a warm comforting feel to it . Facilities were great had Everything and more compared to other stays. Great value would definitely stay here again next visit to south wales with the dogs.
The property is an old stone terraced cottage but has been sympathetically extended with a high standard of fittings and decor, the location was very close to the town centre but in a quiet street. Excellent breakfast cooked to order by the host!
Great place to stay very clean and well decorated with attention to detail, kitchen was well equipped with a lovely welcome hamper, great location train station and super market and town center close by.good to see a variety of games to play.
Was like home from home very friendly staff being a business traveller was nice to have that. Only found this place due to hotel over booking typical for corporate business. This will be my go to for this location.
The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
The cottage is in a good location for exploring the south Wales coast and is well equipped.
The outdoor seating area and garden were a bonus.
