It was clean, everything to hand that was needed. We were impressed with how the coped with the Southern Water problem. We obviously weren’t able to shower through no fault of theirs

This mid-18th century former inn offers unique rooms, free Wi-Fi, and excellent views of Rye. Built around 1750 for local sailors and ship builders, The Hope Anchor is thought to have once sheltered the Tenterden Gang, who used its old secret passages for smuggling. Relax beside the log fire in traditional snug bar, and enjoy the individually styled bedrooms, some of which have a four poster bed. In the morning enjoy a delicious traditional full English breakfast or if you prefer a lighter continental breakfast of cold meats and cheeses, yogurt and fresh fruit salad or maybe even have both!! all served in our breakfast room. (Please note we do not serve lunches or evening meals) Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.4 for a two-person trip. We speak your language! Can I park there?
Good morning, Unfortunately we no longer have parking outside of the hotel, however you are able to drive up to the hotel to unpack, we will be able to send you details of parking in the local area along with a map. I hope this helps RebeccaAnswered on 6 January 2022Can I park there?
We do not have parking at the hotel. Guests may park on the roadside near hotel overnight during the hours of 6pm until 9am but during the day it is restricted to local permit holders only. Hotel guests have to use any nearby pay & display carparksAnswered on 27 June 2022
