Good typical English resort.easy parking android bus services mostly on the flat so good for the elderly or disabled, you can even more a disabled scooter in the shopping centre.good choice of eateries but beware most close early.
Eastbourne has a lovely atmosphere, it's quieter and calmer than Brighton and has a wonderful beach. Also good are the shopping centre, restaurants, cafes, pubs, charity shops, seaside-type shops selling rock and souvenirs etc. The people seem very friendly and helpful. It's not depressing or bleak, the atmosphere is actually quite lively and quite trendy in parts. I recommend Harry Ramsden's for the best fish and chips, and the nicest staff. The Dotto train along the seafront is also a must, and £5 will buy you an all-day "hop on, hop off" ticket. The pier is worth visiting too, there is a lot going on there with many more attractions, and beautiful sea views.
Fir us it was run down in places, like the peir, so much coul be done to attract visitors, and empty shops so run down. Keep on top of paint work, black out empty buildings, eastbourne is a fair enough location for Brighton, Severn sisters, nearby Lewis, the accommodation was excellent where we stayed at brekers b^b. And would return . Local council need to clean uo, b4 its to late for return, I would only stay hear again for the excellent acomadatin and hospitality we received as a base.
The entire town is clean, well maintained and offers numerous retail options in the newly completed Beacon. Seafront was in excellent condition, with freshly painted furniture and an air of a local authority fully committed to first rate service.
Interesting town. Plenty of chain restaurants and coffee shops but also brilliant independent coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs. Particularly the Lamb in old town, Tiger at East Dean. Thai restaurants in Little Italy! Enterprise centre next to the station and n the green at East Dean.
Nice place for 1 of a few summer days... enough to do at the boulevard/beach, good shopping in the city center, beautiful Pier. Great starting point for visiting the cliffs / coastal walks.
Eastbourne
Nice big comfortable room with nice modern bathroom with a lovely rolltop bath with plenty of hot water. Super large king-size bed ,so comfortable had some great nights sleep Room was always warm Great location 2 minutes to seafront 5 minutes to town centre Breakfast in the bag was spot on Judith couldn't help enough .and was very helpful during the covid lockdown Kept us and herself as safe as possible filled us with confidence Definitely stay again if visiting Eastbourne
Hashem took me to my room and showed me where I needed to go for breakfast. Breakfast was prepared by Nasser and was delicious. My room was comfortable, warm, (freezing and snow outside). A lovely location and a very pretty hotel (listed building) and gardens. I found the hotel and staff lovely, nothing was too much trouble. If I have to travel to the area again, I would definitely stay there as it was much more comfortable than the larger chain hotels.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. Close to the seafront and a short walk from the Pier and the shops. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was very large, very clean and well equipped, with sea view. The restaurant was excellent and there was plenty of choice for breakfast, which was well cooked and well presented. There were several lounges to sit in and a comfortable bar area. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Eastbourne
What an amazing place! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The whole hotel was designed for comfort and style, and Chris and Caroline were fabulous hosts. Not to mention the great breakfast they served, so many options even for vegans and vegetarians! They also gave us great advice on how to get to nearby hikes and attractions. The location is perfect, 10 mins from the train and 5 mins from the bus and shore.
Eastbourne
what a great hotel, with fantastic views of the seafront and the pier. such easy access to all amenities. The included full English breakfast was absolutely delicious. This is the first hotel I have ever stayed at that actually had an adequate amount of milk for the tea that was provided in the room. They did have coffee too. The bed was really comfortable, the water was hot, and the owners were very friendly.
Loved the location and view of the seafront, beds were very comfortable staff were lovely and very helpful with everything and for information about where everything is in surrounding area. The bar was a lovely area too we were all very happy and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at West Rocks hotel and will certainly return for another adventure thanks West rocks 🥰 .
The hotel is situated on the seafront, and has steps and a ramp for access, the reception area is large and airy the staff at the reception are friendly and the room is adequate I was there one night so didnt explore the area. The food was fresh and served with a smile, And the breakfast is all you can eat buffet style

I liked the way it had the countryside feel to it in every little detail. From interiors to the toiletries to the small countryside window in the room and the welcoming tea and coffee and snacks. Best hotel shower 🚿 I’ve had in a long time.. the water was strong and hot.. excellent when you arrive so tired to the place !
Eastbourne
Great location near the seafront in Eastbourne, the hotel room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of natural light. Less than 5 minutes to the beach (which can be seen from the windows at the front of the property) and less than 10 minutes walk to Eastbourne's iconic pier.
