Eastbourne is a fairly quiet, charming place to visit.

Eastbourne is a fairly quiet, charming place to visit. It combines beautiful downland countryside with all the pleasures of a traditional Seaside resort. It is also high up on the list for providing Cultural activities. There are several large galleries and museums to visit along with several excellent theatres. Restaurants and cafes are in abundance, you will be spoilt for choice. The shopping area of the town has a good mix of Charity shops through to Designer and Bespoke tailoring. There are some lovely independent stores and coffee shops, as well as all the usual retail brands.

Really beautiful hotel, my room was upgraded without my knowledge when i got there. It was a very nice surprise. The hotel is not modern but this added to the experience of being there. Staff were really friendly. I would recommend pre booking a parking spot although there is parking on the street. Location is beautiful and i have nothing bad to say. All in all 10/10 experience 👍

Plenty of shops around, decent food places, the Pier was awesome as well, though be careful if it's raining. There were plenty of options for activities around, mostly within walking distance if you don't mind walking, wasn't that far to walk really. Cinema, Restaurant, shops, pier experience, anything you need really.

We are frequent visitors to Eastbourne and particularly enjoy the pavilion tribute acts. Pleasant beach, seafront walks and coffee stops at the revamped Perch cafe and Towner gallery cafe terrace and Stage door pub overlooking the tennis lawns. Good value places to eat for day and evening. Cinema and live music pubs. Easy bus travel to nearby places.

I have been to Eastbourne many times i have always found it pleasant and would rate it a little above many of these resorts especially places such as Yarmouth and Southend but of course other people may disagree and it is only my opinion nevertheless i would recommend Eastbourne as a resort more in summer as in winter the cold and so on is not so much fun

The hotel is located right in front of the beach. 12min walk from the railway station. Many cafés and restaurants around. The single room was somewhat small but had all I need and was very clean. Bed comfortable and the shower worked very well. I am so glad I booked this hotel! I got an upgrade on my room and it made my stay even better! Monica at the reception was absolutely amazing and helpful. The whole staff was. My first visit to Eastbourne was an amazing experience thanks to Alexandra hotel.

Hashem took me to my room and showed me where I needed to go for breakfast. Breakfast was prepared by Nasser and was delicious. My room was comfortable, warm, (freezing and snow outside). A lovely location and a very pretty hotel (listed building) and gardens. I found the hotel and staff lovely, nothing was too much trouble. If I have to travel to the area again, I would definitely stay there as it was much more comfortable than the larger chain hotels.

The fact there was also a bar with sea views , the barman made superb pina coladas ! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms with sea views are worth paying the extra, waking up with the breeze and the view are priceless, the restaurant food was excellent the crab avocado and scallops starter both amazing the duo of pork main was delicious 😋 If your going to Eastbourne or want a short break in a nice hotel stay here.

The location was perfect, close to everything but far enough away to be quiet. Apartment was large and decorated beautifully! Good value considering a hotel room in some run down hotels on the seafront are around that price to! Had everything we needed in the apartment. Check in and out was smooth and host, Richard was lovely. Was very clean to. We will definitely be returning soon! Lovely place!

The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast at the moment but they can provide a really excellent bag with croissants, yoghurt, butter jam etc. at the reception. I liked the room decor which retained some original features with modern lighting. Loved the fish wallpaper on the feature wall. Also, they give you a handy map of nearby restaurants (with discount vouchers).

A beautifully decorated and well kept hotel that is very reasonably priced. The owner was quite simply a top man and I would not hesitate to stay here again. I travel to Sussex regularly for work and out of the hotels in Eastbourne that I have stayed in, the East Beach Hotel is by far the best. Credit to them for doing such a great job 👏🏼😁

This contemporary, light and airy B&B made a change from other places in Eastbourne. The staff were very friendly welcoming and the facilities, furniture and bathrooms were modern and clean. The B&B is in a great location close to the seafront, galleries, theatres, restaurants and bars and a short walk from the town centre.

The hotel is in good condition and the location is convenient in a way (close to the beach) but non practical (there is a small, overpriced grocery store nearby and a sorry Tesco, a 15 minutes walk away). Nice elevators and good A/C. Close by "restaurants" are bad to awful and overpriced. Try the mall (20 mins walk)
