A fabulous town to visit and stay. Clean, well maintained sea front. Excellent range of shops. Theatres to accommodate all tastes in high spec venues. Good range of hotels offering round the year options to stay.
Eastbourne is a very pleasant town at the sea, not too big, expensive, and busy like Brighton and much cleaner than Hastings, Bexhill or Seaford. Beachy Head and BirlingGap are exceptionally attractive.
Like all seaside towns it was a bit rundown and a few people begging and some on drugs The buildings on the front were all painted if the council painted some of the shops it would help make the town look better
Lovely old fashioned resort with good beach and long promenade. Nice old fashioned shops in Carlisle Road. Good Italian restaurants plus Towner gallery with Ravilious collection, the most famous local artist. 3 theatres also
Eastbourne has a lot to offer, from its charming pier and beaches to its town centre full of amenities and fare. Eastbourne boast fabulous beauty spot The Downs and Beachy Head quaint places of natural beauty delightful vistas engulfing seascapes framed with rolling green hills and wildlife. Eastbourne has a little something for all the ages/family and thrives in the summer months, a must for lovers of the coast and nature.
Eastbourne is your typical Victorian/Georgia sea side resort. You can tell it was once an upmarket favourite venue for Londoners of both rich and working class backgrounds. The best houses (now hotels) are lined up facing the sea and the lower class venues built behind. The former are, in general, very well maintained and even impressive. But the latter are very run down and in dire need of great investment. The twin has tried to include all the usual shopping facilities and has an impressive, fairly modern shopping Mall. However, the rest of the town, with exceptions, are very run down and, in places dilapidated. It is very sad to see, but is common in a large number of similar seaside towns in the UK.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. Close to the seafront and a short walk from the Pier and the shops. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was very large, very clean and well equipped, with sea view. The restaurant was excellent and there was plenty of choice for breakfast, which was well cooked and well presented. There were several lounges to sit in and a comfortable bar area. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
The fact there was also a bar with sea views , the barman made superb pina coladas ! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms with sea views are worth paying the extra, waking up with the breeze and the view are priceless, the restaurant food was excellent the crab avocado and scallops starter both amazing the duo of pork main was delicious 😋 If your going to Eastbourne or want a short break in a nice hotel stay here.
Eastbourne
We've stayed here before so that says something about how good it is. The property is in a quiet spot a little way out of Eastbourne in Sovereign Harbour with a good bus service into town. The house was impeccable again and there were some lovely goodies in the fridge. Jason is a brilliant host, keeping in touch before and during, and he responds very quickly to any queries. Can't recommend it enough.
The location was perfect, close to everything but far enough away to be quiet. Apartment was large and decorated beautifully! Good value considering a hotel room in some run down hotels on the seafront are around that price to! Had everything we needed in the apartment. Check in and out was smooth and host, Richard was lovely. Was very clean to. We will definitely be returning soon! Lovely place!
Great location! Just next to beach. Free parkings on Sat,Sun after 6pm just around. Perfect location to get and enjoy seven sisters walk and Eastbourne. Very good breakfast. If you not too posh you will get all what you need in this hotel for a great price. We booked standard double room but we got fantastic double room with sea view!!! Thanks very much! Couple from Poland.
Very friendly and helpful staff; really a credit to the hotel. Renovated, clean, warm room with modern TV and Netflix etc. Good coffee and tea facilities in the room. Nice bar area. Great seafront view. Useful lift. On street parking all around the hotel. This renovated hotel provides a good alternative to the usual other ones in the area. Some of which are really past their best.
Eastbourne
The location was excellent. It was close to the pier and restaurants. I loved having the window open at night and hearing the waves. The room was on the small side as to be expected in this type of hotel but you really can't ask for a better place to stay. It was comfy and clean. Eddy was a great host. I highly recommend and will stay again should I be in the area.
Well located, beside the beach, fantastic view from our balcony/window, and we can see Eastbourne Pier from there. Shopping area is like 5-10 mins walk from the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, hot buffet with variety. They sell council parking permit for £2 which allow you to do street parking right outside the hotel till 11am next day.
Eastbourne
This is a great little hotel, situated on one of Eastbourne's seafront squares. Ran by a fantastic team who go out of their way to make sure that your stay is a great experience. Struggling like everyone, they have somehow managed to keep prices low, whilst refusing to sacrifice their ethos.
we really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Lovely Victorian grandeur, perfectly suited to Eastbourne. Just a stone’s throw from the pier and seafront gardens. Live entertainment every night, very good food in the restaurant, perfect!
Staff on reception really helpful, breakfast area staff were really kind with elderly guests, getting their breakfasts if they couldn't go up to get their own. location was great, on the seafront, and hotel car park available.
The View is probably the most modern hotel on Eastbourne's Seafront providing a very good standard of accommodation. On a bed and breakfast stay the breakfast was very good in terms of variety, presentation and quality.
It was immaculate, I couldn’t fault the cleanliness. Staff were also so helpful and polite. Definitely the best place I have stayed in Eastbourne and I’ve tried most of the hotels along the seafront.
Eastbourne
Organized, clean, well decorated, and great location right next to main shopping area and the sea. Far better than any hotel, especially for a family.
Location is really good. Good price. Used my Blue light card to get some cashback on next booking. Lots to do and see in and around Eastbourne.
Very nice hotel with lovely relaxing lounges. Staff were very welcoming and helpful...ten minutes walk along seafront to town centre.
