Very impressed with the young man at reception. When he saw that we were not "young" he changed our room from 3rd floor to lower ground. We live in a bungalow so the stairs would have been a bit difficult for us. Big thank you for that move.

A very pleasant town with lots of fun activities and beaches. needs a full info hub for information advertised around the town and hotels. The town needs to advertise itself so to speak. Largely clean, didn't see any teenagers. needs a dual carriageway from the A27 to the heart of the town. It takes too long to get there. found many of the cafes to be over priced and not high quality

This time of the year there is a good spread of entertainments at the theatres and bandstand. The council and small businesses are making a good effort for sea front and surrounding area. The shopping centre, The Beacon has good range of shops and cinema with up to date films. Sadly the town and area is let down by a lack of will power to do much about closed shops nearer sea front. Also flower beds need to be worked on earlier, before children break up from school.

Sheldon B&B is located very close to Eastbourne beach and Promenade, and I did walk along the Promenade one evening. It was my first time to Eastbourne and felt it was a little run down generally, however the weather was very wet, so could look better I guess In sunny weather.
I really enjoyed staying at Seaview Sanctuary where I had a lovely bright, comfortable room overlooking the garden. Richard and Katie were so helpful and there was a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with delicious cakes, tea and coffee available for guests in the conservatory each afternoon. The position was perfect being so near the seafront and a short walk to the pier and town centre. I would recommend the guesthouse to anyone wanting a holiday by the sea in lovely Eastbourne.
Comfy and private ensuite, next to the seafront, very nice lady helped me on arrival at a very short notice and later than they normally do last check ins. Very honest hotel standard consistent with what they advertise. Good place to rest and enjoy Eastbourne attractions.
It was immaculate, I couldn’t fault the cleanliness. Staff were also so helpful and polite. Definitely the best place I have stayed in Eastbourne and I’ve tried most of the hotels along the seafront.
The room was a good size with a fantastic sea view. Plenty of choice at breakfast with very helpful staff. Hotel is very centrally located for both the seafront and the town centre
