Very good location. Good look. Very good staff at the reception. Entrance is also good needs to be a bit more colourful or bright. Lifts need to be checked regularly or maintained or, needs to be improved. Some stairs had old furnitures dumped in corners and created bad impression.
A pleasant seaside town with a lovely long seafront and pebble beach. It has a pier, some nice restaurants and parks and a small modern art gallery. Also open top bus rides in the summer to nearby Beachy Head and a short drive away from 1066 Country and Brighton.
I had a lovely 24 hour stay in Eastbourne. The purpose to see the Opera at The Congress Theatre. Arriving at 2pm I parked on sea front had my lunch. I am a Blue Badge holder and found plenty of free parking. Then checked in to The Langham Hotel. What a little gem this is. Great room, great breakfast. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed so much have booked again. Had a nice walk along the prom, stopping for an ice cream. All was lovely. My only disappointment the flower beds a,o g the prom not planted up yet. May be too early. I will check when I go again in couple of weeks. All in all very enjoyable stay.
New Eastbourne well as I grew up there albeit many years ago, still like the town however the Burlington was not how I remember it as a classy hotel, (one of my friends actually worked there in the 70's)
Lovely seaside town. Lots of charm and character. Need to be fit to see it all . Nice cafes and restaurants. Also nice town centre.got a nice cuppa in independent coffee house at a reasonable price. Would be lovely in the summer months
Eastbourne is a very pleasant and traditional seaside town.It has a peeble beach which is extensive .It has a pier with a tea shop and gift shops as well as a fast food outlet the entrance to the pier .These is a lengthy high street as well as shopping malls . It has most, if not all of the high street brands. Nothing is too far and it is always a pleasant place to visit .
The ONLY reason I continued to stay at this hotel after I found bed bugs in my room was because the staff are superb!! I can't fault their helpfulness, friendliness and willingness to put themselves out to help. They really deserve better. Other plus points: The is location perfect - right on the seafront, and an easy walk to the town centre (even with my walking frame). I also had brilliant sea views. To be fair, the beds were comfortable - despite the bed bugs!
Buffet breakfast OK selection. Typical seaside location and Victorian property for the south coast of England. I had a seafront room. It is necessary to realize this is an old property with "faded English charm." Anyone wishing for a modern hotel for their stay should look elsewhere. Plenty of comfortable seats in the lounges and bar area.
Such a warm and friendly welcome and our room was lovely. This is our third stay at The Oban and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else - the hotel is in a great location on the seafront and is very good value for money. Thank you so much for another relaxing stay in Eastbourne. Highly recommend.
Eastbourne
Our 6th visit to this hotel, and this one was to celebrate my husband 71st birthday, The reception staff made us feel welcomed and was very friendly as always, the facility in the rooms were excellent for self catering, couldn't ask for better.
A beautifully manicured and lovingly maintained historic hotel. It's a tribute to the staff and management how well the hotel is cared for. In fact, I can confidently say The Hydro is my 'Résidence de choix' when I am in Eastbourne!
Eastbourne
This hotel is very good, staff are very helpful and friendly quality of the food is very good this hotel is very well situated for theaters near by we just can't fault this hotel well recommended one of the best in Eastbourne.
Disgusting, dirty, cesspool of a hotel. Yellow and skidmarked towels left on our bed, doors didn’t lock on our room. Awful awful stay at what used to be a lovely traditional Eastbourne seafront hotel. I will not be returning.
Didnt have breakfast. Downstairs was nice but bedrooms need updating Staff didnt know where parking h was told us totally the wrong thing it was outside the hotel tild the teceptionist and she said we had misubderstood he

Great Value for money. Very close to everything. Had a budget that the place matched. Don’t be worried about no parking! The hotel can sort you with a parking permit for the day. Cost 2 pounds.
Flexibility of hotel staff in changing a room upon arrival to something much better The breakfast in the ‘Artisan’ restaurant was very good even with ongoing Covid restrictions

A great stay with very welcoming hosts. Fab breakfast each morning and a big, spacious room. Lovely hotel and great location.
Lovely room. Great view. Nicely decorated for an old seafront hotel compared to other in the area.
