The Lansdowne is unbelievable value for money! It’s a fabulous find. All the staff I came across were delightful. My single room on the second floor with a great view of the sea was more than I expected - an extra sitting area, comfortable bed, good quality, appealing furnishings, bathroom not recently renovated but perfectly clean with everything you need including a comfortable bath and fluffy white towels. The multiple lounge areas and bar are inviting, a lovely spot to relax with a drink or a chat or quiet read. The restaurant 1920 was also a great experience. Good food, nice setting, friendly good service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I tend to walk from the station to Beachy Head and carry on walking till I reach Birling Gap (non-stop). I am not young and I take my time. I am getting better and better each year at walking up hill, from the bottom of the first hill of the 7 sisters (where there is a cafe). It is a reminder to cut down on sweets during the year. I know that I shall have to climb that first hill.

The Lamb is ancient (parts date back to 1180!) so very quirky. The rooms are small but beautifully done up with all you might need, including a mini fridge with fresh milk; a nice touch. The food is good and the pub itself is popular. The location is outside the seaside town of Eastbourne but close to the coast line and great for Beachy Head etc...

The hotel is very well situated right on the front, but at the ‘ quieter’ end of Eastbourne. It’s two minutes from the Towner art gallery and the theatre, the tennis courts and about a 10 minute walk to the centre of ‘ Little Chelsea’. There’s a good view of the pier from the front rooms and also from the beach, along to Beachy Head and the cliffs. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, we were able to park using the hotel concession, the hotel generally and our room - clean and comfortable.Breakfast was also good.

The cottage was really clean and comfortable with everything you need. The setting and view are great. The weather was hot while we were there so the on-site swimming pool was a real bonus. The location is good for visiting places like Beachy Head and many other places along this stretch of the south coast.

Perfect location for walks on Beachy Head and the downs. Great pub next door. Super comfy bed. Handy fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery for simple meals. Thoughtful addition of books about the history of the area. Management were really responsive and flexible with check-in times.

Very traditional style sea front hotel. Great location - good for walking to Beachy Head, but also close to pier if you want a tour bus. At the quieter end of the esplanade with the theatre & cafes in the block behind. 2 or 3 choices for breakfast within a 2 min walk. We had a sea view triple room - no breakfast - good size, clean, comfortable. Helpful staff. Would book again.

The walks along the cliffs around Beachy Head are suitable for people of all ages as the ground is gently sloping with no steep bits. Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters is very interesting as you can see how the coastline has evolved over the years. You can walk as far as you can see if you are feeling energetic.
