the horse and panniers guest house was originally a farmhouse then in more recent times a village pub. Converted into a home in 2014 The ground floor of the property consists of a open plan tv lounge followed by library then dining area next to a country kitchen, There is also a powder room next to the main exit. Full broadband is available throughout the property and individual TVs in each bedrooms. Backgammon, chess, cards and boardgames are avilable in the library area and play station 3 plus games on request. Upstairs each of the bedrooms are twins , The third being also a double room with a single.. All with ensuite shower rooms. Shower gel .shampoo and conditioner provided. Outside there is an enclosed courtyard with potted plants, wooden benches and typical gardern furniture. There are a couple of private car parking spaces available at the entrance for your conenience. The owner lives oppersite and is available for breakfasts if requested at an additional cost plus half board options are possible.Transportation is available at very resonable prices. chauffeuring localiy to lakeside activities restaurants and bars, trainstation etc.
If you enjoy country life you cant go far wrong in Rutland. weather its sailing, fly fishing or walking the dog down a country path. Getting back to a roaring fire whilist sinking into a leather sofa. contemplating that evenings entertainment. Weather a quiet night in or visit to pubs and restaurants galour.
Located in The village of North Luffenham two miles south of the reservoir the guest house is situated in the heart of the village just down from the village green and two hundred metres from the pub. The rural setting surrounded by farmlands and mature woodland is only inhanced by the addition of the reservior and all the activities such as cross country biking, sailing, golf and fly fishing to name but a few. The market towns of Uppingham, Oakham and Stamford are just a short drive away. Here you will find museums cultural activities and stately homes.
