It was a fantastic property in a breath taking gorgeous location! You truly get the wow factor when you approach the house in the car . The views ! Omg! One can never get enough of ! And the bbq and hot tub were an amazing feature in the property . The house and barn were also very beautiful and done up to a high standard . It’s a dream location and will definitely be coming back again.

If it’s pure escapism you are searching for, look no further. This remote house in the countryside is perfectly located with breathtaking scenery and fresh water springs right on your doorstep. The House in the Hills comes with two properties, the main farmhouse with three lovely king size bedrooms sleeping six and a self contained barn with a further two king size bedrooms, sleeping four just across the courtyard. Both the house and Barn have spacious kitchens with all modern cooking facilities, large dining rooms to entertain in the evenings and TVs with cinema surround. The bathrooms boast large walk in showers with jacuzzi jets and roll top baths, pure indulgence. Hay-on-Wye 10 mins drive or you may want to take in the great outdoors and take a walk out of your front door into the heart of the Black Mountains. Last but not least and what a treat, why not have a hot tub under the stars and soak up the magnificent views. Please contact the owner if you wish to book the hot tub as this is an extra cost. Max 2 dogs are allowed but they are not allowed upstairs in the properties or on the furniture & furnishings (T&C's apply)
Both properties have been restored by father and son Glyn & Steve Greenow who took great pride in restoring them to the highest standard yet still in keeping with the original features. After 12 years of hard work, The House in The Hills was lovingly restored, and we now look forward to sharing it with our guests. The House in the Hills is a family run business with 10 years of experience. A very warm welcome awaits you.
The House in the Hills is one of the most beautiful Welsh holiday cottages you will find, there’s so much to see and do while you’re here – here are some of our favourites. Walking Fantastic walks in the surrounding Black Mountains are straight from the door, you will be spoilt for choice. Mountain Biking The stunning walks surrounding you are also ideal for mountain bike rides, with a route for every level. Bikes can be hired from nearby Hay on Wye. Horse Riding Local pony trekking centres nearby. Something More Sedate? Thankfully there are plenty of options for quieter days, such as exploring nearby Hay on Wye and its countless bookshops, eateries and local stores. Try your hand at the potters wheel at Eastnoor Pottery.
