Our room was after renovation with fresh painting. The staff was very kind. Communication to ICC centre very easy -73 bus was 3 minutes by walk from hotel.

What Guests Said About Newport:

I would advise the hotel is on a main road.

I would advise the hotel is on a main road. No curtains to bedroom I used, only Venetian Blinds, which did not help noise reduction and felt less private. Car parking adequate. Breakfast only dining facilities at Hotel, you would have to go out for other meals. Immediate local area mainly industrial. Take-aways further along road. Better dining possibly in town centre but due to nature of visit, did not intend to 'sightsee' anyway so cannot advise. Also near to railway goods yard with some early morning noise. Taxi services reasonable and fees not extortionate, also buses. Hotel is just far enough from town centre to require transport rather than walking

Lots of litters in the street at the apartment.

Lots of litters in the street at the apartment. Best place is the walk only area in downtown. Friars Walk is nice. There are plenty of eating places. Try to avoid Uber taxi or supervise their route and use Dragon instead

This accommodation was awful and dirty, and things didn't work half the light bulbs didn't work, we were kept up all night by the neighbours trying to get in and setting their flat on fire and my guests were not happy that the landlord had been in and moved our stuff around without asking. I'm also very annoyed that when I reported all these things nothing was offered in a way of compensation and my guests left feeling miserable.

Although we travelled by car, The New Inn is accessible by public transport as there are bus stops nearby. Its on the Newport to Chepstow route. There is no lift to the first floor but the stairs are not too steep if you have luggage. Breakfast was included. We opted for pastries & toast so can't comment on the cooked breakfast.

Staff were very helpful and friendly when I needed a reduce my number of nights at the hotel and a refund was given without any problems. On arriving as a family of four, we were upgraded which was a lovely surprise! Our room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Great choices available at breakfast and all of very good quality. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We didn’t have time to make use of the pool and gym facilities but they looked very inviting.

Ideal stop over for our visit to the Principality Stadium for the Wales v New Zealand match. Sadly, no time to visit Newport attractions but would consider an extra night stay to enjoy more experiences of the locality.

Modern, cosy, newly decorated and essentially clean (except for comments below). Kitchen was equipped with the basics we needed, although a dishwasher would have been nice! Beds were comfortable. Location was in the outskirts of Newport near to M4 which suited us. Not your usual holiday location as the house is in a residential estate but good as a base to explore South Wales. Newly developed and very quiet area. Peaceful. Near to the retail park in case you need anything. The price was reasonable.

Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. This hotel has a great onsite restaurant, delicious food . It also has a good choice of bar food as well as a great selection of hot and cold food for breakfast. Nice facilities, and the added extra is you also get to use the facilities in the Celtic Manor Nice outside space next to the bar area. Lovely shower and wardrobe space. Room was big with plenty of storage.. The hotel was positioned well for good road links to get around .

Two big houses on a main road just a little out of town, on the east side of river Usk. A polite welcome. Though I was on my own, I was allocated a big room with three single beds, fitted out in very 1970s hotel style but perfectly comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was OK, in a basic canteen-style room. It was a very fleeting stay -- got to Newport mid-evening and checked out immediately after breakfast to go to a meeting -- but efficient and good value for money.

Location perfect for the town (3 mins walk), Roman sites and museum (10 mins walk), and a bus-stop outside the hotel to get to/from Newport. (Although, taxis also easy to get.) The property has recently been refurbished. A bit odd having the wash-basin and shower cubicle in the room rather than ensuite, but not a problem. Friendly staff. Breakfast choice is cereal and full English, or cereal and full English - which suited me, but some might find the choice limited.

Prime location, train station was 1 minute walk and the NCP was right next to it. Very close to everything and plenty of pubs surrounding the hotel. Discount was included in the parking which make it cheaper. The air conditioning was great and the bed was incredibly comfortable. There were extra pillows and plenty of towels provided too. Complementary tv, coffee and cookies in the room and the Wi-Fi was very fast, allowing me to steam movies and play games online.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Clean room on the ninth floor with a grand view of the river and Newport town. Our query about the broken bedside lamp was dealt with straight away. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable three nights including a good, hot shower and king sized bed. Parking was convenient in a multi storey next door which was locked overnight.

It was a very pleasant stay. Everything was up to the mark. Very well maintained, clean and tidy. All the necessary things were available to use. The location was perfect, it was 10-12 mins walk to the Newport train station and just 3 mins walk to the near by grocery Market. Early check in request was not entertained but Overall it was a great experience.

The location of the hotel is great - across from the train station but also just off Newport High Street so everything is convenient to the hotel. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, the room was really nice - the bed was very very comfy so I got a few great nights sleep even though I was away from my own bed!
